I'm wondering if it could be dried? Thing is - the overlay compacts down to nearly nothing if you squeeze or press it so I just don't know how much would be left. But I will give it a shot.
I think it would be ideal to make a very strong tincture of, just compress and soak in 80 proof. You could get a lot of it into a small amount of liquid I imagine. I might give that a try if I get enough of it. I won't dry it first though.

That's an awesome idea. I'll get some 80 proof and give it a shot.

This stuff blew my mind.
I had a grow that looked like it molded out early before any yield. I thought about throwing it out, but I'd heard stories... So I put it in quarantine for 2 weeks. It completely ate the entire infection and had pins when I came back.
Fucking insane.

My first Natalensis pins in one tub:

And overlay getting bigger & bigger in another (no signs of pins in this one), with a before & after photo:

We need chemical analysis of dried and live natalensis mycelium to propagate the Mao* inhibition theory for increased value from marketing
And to better diffentiate Natalensis from cubensis
Some shroomery members must be billionaires by now, why is so little analysis done and shared publicly as continued effort to spread the good word of our saviours and friends, the mycelium.
Buy natalensis myc lab work, now

Yeah when I dried some way back it ended up like white styrofoam with blue streaks but I never ate any.
I just went to toss some old tubs and came across this awesomeness.

I’m pretty sure three days ago there was like one or two primordia.

I've given people both dried and fresh natalensis mycelium, it has active properties. What we need is hard facts, from real lab work
What I wanna know:
Does natalensis mycelium contain Mao* inhibitors in enough amounts to push a combined fruit and myceliua trip in the direction of what the subculture calls "psilohusca" aka a dmt like oral experience

I peeled a puffball of myc off of a bottle and set it aside. I forgot about it and my wife found it. She legit thought it was styrofoam. It broke up and powdered really easily. If I had trimmed the sub off before drying it would have been awesome microdose material.

There would have to be tens of milligrams before anything close to Psilohuasca would happen. Don't find that likely.

MysticMycologist said: I’ve got a Nat print on the way and I’m excited to participate. When you all get the ridiculous overlay, are you harvesting it and consuming it? I have read in this thread that it is active, but it hasn’t really been discussed much. I’m curious to see what phenotype I get. I’m rather found of the Medusa like tentacle hentai, but I also like PE blobs so tasting the overlay may be interesting.
I fork after each harvest, and dry all the overlays and save them for brewing tea later on.
I have a jar full of Nat mycelium and stump trims for that purpose.

You can probably get it tested here: https://wonderland-labs.com
This is the company a lot of pot companies and kratom places use for their batch results. It's not terribly expansive, maybe 100 or a few hundred bucks.
I think you can send it anon with a code number you read results later online.

My craziest overlay:

Runner up:

Third place (this one actually touched the lid on the right side even though the rest of the overlay wasn't as much as the previous two):
