Milkboy those are very, very white... Anybody know what exactly causes the albino mutation? I'd do just about anything for one of a natalensis.
Wondering what other species would be suitable for "commercial" growing (like cubes and Natals)... I suppose any species can be prolific fruiters if you work with the culture enough.

Spikey mycelium of a Nat clone (the same I spawned to shoeboxes a couple weeks ago and of which I posted pics). I think these jars are bacterial af as well, fuck me.

Nat taken from clone. before clone was slow as fuck. after cloning it sped up. Now way faster than my cubes.
Such eyecandy. I've been just looking at the jars lately.

Nats just have such a wide variety of mycelium, it's crazy.
The culture I'm running from fridgedoor that fruits well, as well as a small jar of a different transfer from the same culture;

I'm struggling to find trip reports for Natalensis. Tried using advanced search. No luck. All the reports here are usually very brief saying nats are potent.

Yeah they’re really just starting to take off. You could try looking for NSS reports or natal super strength. That was the name prior to being confirmed as a new species although could possibly also be a regular cube.
The handful of reports in this thread are mostly just that they tend to be potent, and have a different and mostly easier/more positive vibe and different type of visuals than cubes.

Looks like a good fruiter, you used the same amount of spawn/top layer with both?

These are on unground coir, you know the old school I ain't got no pulverized coir.
Was a shortage first week of January
So the aka-21 culture is kinda surrounded by unground coir side, bottom, top, with plenty of air holes.

Coir chips or straight up island husks? That's not something I've had to work with fortunately.
Looking nice!

What’s weird is how the myc still looks like it’s in colonization mode all over the surface.
Maybe you’ve stumbled across something to fix overlay

I would actually go with 11 and 12 on that plate just out of sheer curiosity.
Tomentose growth gave me much better results but I never saw anything that fluffy.

In my experience they do Faht. Starts with just one and then come the rest. So strange isn't it?

That’s a fu.... rhizomorphic overlay! Nice pinning! Recently have different species (cubes, nat, tampa, caeru, Pan..) in the same FC but it’s too cold right now (under 20c) and the nat is doing better than other species even than cubes so seems relatively tolerant to fresh temp..
