This is a 50-liter container.Without holes with the lid slightly open .Temperature at all stages-from fouling to fruits 20-24 gr.Light LED spotlight 20watt,6500K,1900L. 12x12. Kneading was done like this-overgrown oats plus hay-manure plus coconut in a ratio of 1:3:3.There is no covering layer. According to observations, good lighting, natural ventilation and low temperature create wonderful mushrooms.
This is your material, thanks again.Russia is overgrown with Natalensis!

Nice I streaked 5 plates with nat spores myself today. Print was thick with spores.

My caps never open on the first flush... and actually they arent very big. The tub makes them look larger than they are.

PF Ecuador cubes for a side-by-side comparison. I'm surprised at how well these performed since the casing had some kind of infection... Loving how they look like one big arch.

I did the same last night, put some old spores to sterile swab and transferred a few plates. Last batch just produced yellow blobs.

Everyone's talking about overlay being active but literally nothing about their potency or trip experiences with it.

Nutrient rich thick substrate, high light levels & FAF…will grow up to a foot tall, 5” caps 50+ g weight and extremely potent, dropping deep purple spores everywhere. Canopy will average out 7-8” vertical with 3” caps.

Careful with dosing, higher frequently isn’t better. Pack 1.5” CC on overlay. Things this big should not be this potent.

Wow! Very nice! My biggest Natalensis came from substrate with about 50% chopped wheat straw. What is your substrate, please? 😊 (Also what are you dosing? 2 grams?)

Found an old plate had pinned. Got that bumpy stipe whereas the ones I’ve grown out are perfectly straight, big and beautiful. Just cloned a great cluster, I think I’ll put this pin to a new plate and grow that out too.

Ate about 20g wet (~2g) the other night and finally had a truly amazing time on these! Very different than any cube I've tried before, not as insightful as others have said. Just very fun!
Has anyone else had an effect that made the internal thoughts they were having echo back what sounds like laughter (but not actually)? Also had it on the same dose of fresh PF Ecuador the night before... this is an entirely new effect which I have never experienced before, and it made it incredibly difficult to have any serious insights (almost to the point that it was annoying). Also it was much more prominent with the cubes. I'm thinking this may be due to... "external influences".
SnapperGold - Have you isolated this pheno, and have you any prints available?

So I have ~5 pints of rye berries being rapidly colonized by P. Natalensis (I started from a spore print that seemed rather large for P. Natalensis ~2" diameter print, but the person that gave it to me insisted it was P. Natalensis, not the Natal cubensis, and he was giving it to me for free, so no reason to claim it was something its not) I started on agar and then made LC...
I am a total newcomer to this... no experience AT ALL.
I am planning to use the SFF Shoebox tek described here: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26043820
I was planning follow the tek pretty exactly (no holes in tubs, no misting every day)- except it sounds like I should use a lower ratio of spawn to substrate (maybe 1-pint of colonized grain to 3 pints of coir?) and a thin top layer of slightly wetter coir on the top... then lock down the lids and wait as the tek calls for, unlatching the lids shortly before they are ready to harvest... I was thinking of keeping them at ~75 degrees F. 6500K light on 12 hour cycle...
I have seen in this thread that P. Natalensis likes more FAE than cubes- would I be making a mistake following this tek? What sort of yield is typical for a pint of spawn? how many dried grams could be expected? I know its all highly variable...

No one has any answers to your questions, lol. Sometimes they do nothing and sometimes they pump out fruits. C10 holds the record I think but under normal conditions you can expect less than a cube culture in terms of weight

Yeah I’m convinced genetics are 90% of a natalensis grow.
I agree with expecting less than cubes, although when you factor in less spawn it might be closer than I think.
One good thing is it kind of seems like the cultures that fruit less are mega potent from what I’ve seen with mine. Haven’t had a good canopy grow to compare though.

Take this technology as a basis.BOD's Easy AF UnBODified Monotub TEK Natalie is growing up great with her.The air flows well to them and the fruits come out slender. An important role is played by a powerful light-6500k-1900 lumens.

Great looking fruits, angam!
I've also seen a few people say they like high FAE. I think pitcher even ran them in a jcm fc and they did well.
But as mentioned above, they do great in unmodded monos, which I don't think get much fae. This was in an unmodded 66qt with the lid flipped at fruiting (4qts 1:3 straight coir)...

yield I agree you should expect a bit less than cubes. I had 4 solid flushes from 6 qts spread across 2 tubs and I think I yielded maybe 5 oz dry.
...
Some 6th flusher natties, finally threw out the sub after picking a handful of these

I've been curious about this lately. My fruits grew really normal looking compared to most of what I've seen on this thread. Can't help but notice how similar they look to pitcher's grow which is where my spores came from. With that said, I also took a lot of his advice on how to grow them
