I’m jumping the “no apes for me” wagon too. Nats are my favorite to eat right now, I still haven’t tried the pans sitting in my drawer because I’m too much of a chicken shit after that ape trip downloaded primordial knowledge into my brain and had me stuck in repetitive motion syndrome

Pans aren't that scary. You can't go wrong with 1g. But 2g can send you in DMT land for a couple of hours.

Hey guys
I would appreciate some advice if anyone could be as kind. This is still my first time trying to grow some mushrooms. This cake has been sitting in the fruiting chamber for two weeks now and all that's happening is the blobs just keep growing. It's also pushing out these blue/black liquids.
Should I just leave it be and keep fanning and misting or should I dunk it in water again overnight?
What are the chances of still getting this cake to fruit?

Yeah pans are much different for me.
The Jambos in .7 or less doses are basically hallucination pills. I’ll feel almost sober and think they’re not working and then the tile floor will fuse together and start bubbling.
Always reminds me of John dies at the end

I’d peel that overlay off. A couple people have said you can trip from that too.
Ime natal cultures like that are a waiting game. I’ve had some take five weeks to pin.

Thanks so much for the reply. You think I'll get sick of those blobs if I test them out with some of them having that blue/black water? I'm learning a lot about mushrooms and the growing process recently and they really are fascinating.
Would the blue/black water it's pushing out be metabolites or just bacteria coloring it?

You’re a madman, Crack! That looks wild. What is the general thought on why different species have different trips? Differing levels of the known active compounds?

Amazing work, man!
I had the idea of doing this and still plan on it if I ever got to growing nats, alas I'm still working on pans first - I do think if this cross takes off and stabilizes, it deserves to be called HARAMBE, but of course if you have a better name then use that.

This thread has intrigued me over the past few days, I intend to acquire spores in the near future. I was a little skeptical because of the "Natal Super Strength" going around that appeared to just be a normal cube but i'm keen to get some of the weird spaghetti pheno in my life. Everyones mention of them feeling different is definitely intriguing, sounds wonderful!

My first natalensis...

This is myc is awesome! There was mold on the swab, completely ate it and then popped a chode on top as a "fuck you, thanks for the meal".

Does anyone have the equipment needed to test for harmane, harmaline, and similar?
The more I read about the affects(sedation, "magical" feelings, connectedness, potency) the more I am thinking we are experiencing mild psilohuasca affects.
This would fall in line with the hyperactive mycelium, since harmala alkaloids have been found in much higher concentrations in mycelium than the fruits.

Interesting.
Do any mushroom species have that?
Could it lead to Serotonin Syndrome?
I sent your link to A-Rock, maybe he can test for it or knows how to get it tested.
I think anyone can send things to Wonderland Labs in Cali, and pay to have tests done. I can't afford it, but maybe someone can do it free at work.
