The only thing I’ve noticed is an increase in fae helps reduce the blobbiness

Ready to jump on board. Thanks crackatoa for the print.
Anyone got a summary of key information for running this strain? I’ve had a look through a few pages but not trying to look through all of them lol

Top one not cased, CVG sub, 1:3 ratio. Bottom one cased with peat/verm, CVG sub, 1:3 ratio.

I think you’re good. The bottom one is definitely good and the top looks like the kind of overlay that pins well. Plus they’ve both got knots which ime means you’re through the danger zone with overlay.

Normally I'm pretty good about labeling things, but I had a couple of older pints of spawn and rather than commit a possibly iffy grain jar to expansion I just threw it in a random container with some coir.
I didn't label that container and now I'm just a tiny bit uncertain about what it is. I'm about ninety nine percent sure that this is my Natalensis clone...
Anybody care to help me feel 100% sure?

They also blue pretty dramatically which is something I've come to expect from them.

Looks like it to me, I always notice a lot of grey tinted caps with natalensis.
Do they bruise with a green tint?

Yeah, my nats have all had a bit of a grey cap as well.

I don't see the crazy spore dump I associate with this species. That may be because you're growing them in open air. But if there's a FC, I'd ask where are the spores if it's natalensis. I think the bigger determinant is if you cut the stem, is it green inside, turning black? (I don't clearly recall this, but I think it should be green right away or within seconds.)

Those look like Nats to me, too. Also the bumpy stem is something I see on mine all the time. I don't know if it has been mentioned, but the stems aren't hollow.

This is how my first flush always looks like, no matter how much fae, etc (I got different tub sizes with different hole sizes running alongside each other simultaneously).
I just love these.
Edit: Can you spot the one with the white wig on its cap? I see that happening relatively often.

Thanks folks I was pretty confident. The only other cultures I had going were pretty distinctive cubes. As for cap color - I find they get that grey whitish blue tint when they start to dry. As for the bluing I don’t always see the green tint, but I have seen it.
Looking forward to getting some full tubs of this one going again 😊

You were right Aka, both the cased and uncased shoeboxes are starting to pin. I think the uncased one is pinning right below the overlay/fuzzyness, didn't think that was a thing. The cased one is doing much better I think, there are many more knots. Maybe I should case the other three shoeboxes as well.
Cased, spawned 10 days ago, pins already forming:

My nat MS tub isn't performing as I had hoped. It's only producing fruit in a couple small places, however I'll use those fruits to harvest genetics for a future attempt.
I'm wondering if these would benefit from a thick, like 2" compressed casing layer, like p9hu7 uses for his PE grows. I'm gonna give it a shot on my next shoebox.

Wow that back left corner is some of the longest skinniest shrooms I’ve ever seen that also look healthy.
