If anyone has a even small print they’d like to trade I’m interested in this specimen. Got a couple things I’m about to add to the trades list.

Psilo that second pic should be a psychedelic print for blankets or something.
I’m finally spawning a jar or two today
Grim that’s nuts for a t1. You must’ve picked the perfect little spot.
Here’s my transfers of a flat and fluffy sector.

Prob gonna grab some of that sector from 3-5 on the first plate.

Same, I'm excited to see what they find! I wish I hadn't been so lazy with these, those subsequent flushes are looking great grim!

When I took those transfers I dropped the rest to grain so I’ve got a quart of each colony on that plate going.
I ran out of shoeboxes and now Walmart is sold out of them somehow. I wanted to run six shoeboxes with the jars I made from lc but I might end up doing three sweaterboxes instead.
Ok I couldn’t wait. Just spawned two quarts to coir with a handful of sawdust.

I know Alan was doing Jake's new pan cross at the same time as the natalensis I gave him so I'm just watching jakes posts before I bug Alan about the natal.

Man I'm still a novice and already I want to try Natalentis! I don't believe it's that far up from my cultivating skills, you grow it the same as Cubensis correct?

I'm in the same basket. It looks pretty sweet, will be nice to see some dna reports and further information. At some point deff going to have to get my hand in a print or slant and give it a try.

Do you know the story or details on how it came about, where it came from, or how it was discovered? And about how recent is Natalentis? I hadn't heard of it when I started growing back in December...

Supposedly like 1995ish gartz discovered it in SA right?
Curious what it turns out to be. Morphology seems stable at the very least
Grim, are you just running straight coir? Any casing or top layer? Anything differeny from cubes?

Straight coir, same parameters as regular cubes.
Here's a rundown of my surface conditions, pinsets/best performers from best to worst.
No TL, no casing
Thin casing at spawn
TL at spawn
Casing at 100%
Thick casing at 100%
TBH the ones with no top layer or casing haven't fruited yet but they look to have the best potential.
EDIT - I'm going to go back to a 1:1 spawn ratio as the fruits were much bigger and pretty sure yeilds were higher.

Thanks crack!
I'm going to do a transfer tonight but I'm noticing the mycelium in the plate is changing colors to a light green blue. It's happening in my jars of all the different varieties so it might be the light I'm using. Not 6500k. I think it's like 3500 or something.
Excited to finally get on the Nat Train!

What ratio have you been using??
So far I’ve spawned two jars to a sweaterbox with coir and hwfp, and one to a shoebox just straight coir with a thin sub, around 1-1 ratio.
I’ve got a brick in the bucket now so it’ll be cool in a few hours and I’m gonna spawn another jar or two. I’m thinking next I’ll do a coir/manure compost mix and then a shoebox with a deep sub.
