I second smalltalk's observation almost exactly: nats colonize popcorn pretty well. They are colonizing wheat worse than expected: (stall with a wedge inoculation, will take two weeks with blenderless LI), but my prep could be off because I'm new to wheat.

I just went through a few old pics of mine an found this one and thought some o you might enjoy that one too (excuse the mess). I could have let it grow out a bit longer but it was lifting up the tubs lid.

Yes, it was standing up right.
I used to believe it is NSS, but since I follow this thread I think it's Psilocybe Natalensis. What do you think? It came from the same culture I have posted here a few days ago.

Cap definitely looks natal.
Never would’ve imagined they could get that size.

This fruit has been the result of later flushes. The first flush of these always looks like spaghetti or snakes in a tub and then the fruits get bigger with each flush. At least for me.

Is there anyone out there at all that can send specimens to Alan or someone of similar like? I thought we decided nss and natalensis are the same thing and it would be nice to have that confirmed

Back in the natal game.

All he could do is confirm a new species. There’s so many prints going around as natalensis and NSS that they could be anything.
The question is just did somebody also print a cube from there or is it all natalensis

But was what he received labeled natalensis or NSS? Someone has to have spores of both that could be sent off to him

Like casing the one on the top left of my picture?

I’m starting to notice differences in overlay.
Like the culture I have now overlays but it pins fine, and the overlay looks different than my super gnarly cultures before.
The stuff that pins seems to be fluffier and smooth compared to the kind that starts out as rhizo and then blows up into a rubbery mat.

People eating the fresh cake, tripping hard off 38g fresh/wet, saying it's a good time and can't write anymore on mobile.
So yeah it's good

Yes I'm saying it. Lost radio contact two hours ago, that's usually a good sign.
They Ate 38g fresh blob / overlay based on the usual fresh10x rule of thumb

I sent a natalensis sample to Alan. We went back and forth a few times over months and I got bored asking about it.
