Made a tea with that. Was expecting a night and I only got an ever so slight sedative effect. Never got so little from 3 grams.
The thing is that the fresh fruit I ate the other day from that very grow wasn't bad. It felt potent actually, so this has been a surprise.

Weird. I did have the same thing happen once but I chalked it up to smoking an insane amount of weed during the come up and eventually falling sleep while feeling the effects.

I'm on an empty stomach, didn't take anything else but these.
Dehydrated them for 18 hours and boiled those 3 grs for 15 minutes.
I want my money back!

Nice, I will be streaking my plates tonight and joining the club as well. I have been told by a reliable source that they do best layering the spawn/coir, using .5 inch CV casing and run at 80F.
We shall see!

Thanks for the tips. Soon I am going to have to buckle down and go through this entire thread and gather as much info as I can.

IME They are better when eaten dry. I made a fresh tea and it was way more visual, but my dry tea was weak like you. Idk if maybe the other actives at work aren’t water soluble or what.

BrownBear I’ll save you some time, we still haven’t learned shit
Imo the only things that seemed to have any reliable impact were myc selection and lower spawn amounts. I did seem to have more colorful fruits with manure too.

The first bunk natal! You gotta try again next week to make sure
I’m really curious if there’s a difference between the weird natal phenos and the more typical cube ones. All I’ve had so far are really weird ones but they’ve been powerful. I’ve only eaten them dry in caps though. Maybe whatever’s giving them that special kick isn’t water soluble or something.

Back to my cubes I guess, I'm not exotic at all...

Spawn to sub 1/3. Sub is straw/manure 50/50.with a top layer of CV 1" thick.

I want a tub like that Nosf3r4tu!
My tub is testing my patience... 12 days since I spawned it. But it seems something is happening there soon.

Looks good though I’m sure it’ll go off soon. My worst natal tub took about two months to pin

I’ve decided to heavily mist the overlay to mat it down before it goes wild just to see. I’m assuming business as usual with side pins

Thanks AKA, I got this culture from a friend about a year ago and every tub I had fruited in about just ten days. It's one of the reasons I like this variety so much. But I see I might have been lucky to get this culture.
I got a question though. I keep on transferring mycelium from this initial plate I got a year ago. I am sure I am busy with T10 at least. Will the mycelium loose vigor if I keep on doing this? I mean would it be a good idea to start from spore again at some point?

Yeah, it will eventually hit a point of senescence but not from ten transfers, all you’re doing is prolonging it out past t2 if you have clean growth. Most people I know send it after t2 if not before. If I have clean growth I’ll send it after the first transfer. With nats it could be beneficial to isolate the structures a bit with a lot of transfers but I haven’t noticed a difference in the plates I ran to t7 and the ones I sent from t1.

I think you’d have to do a couple hundred transfers to start seeing problems. Verums PE isolate thread from way back I think got to at least 60.

Cool, so I keep on using this culture for a little longer.
I too drop my agar on grain earlier than that, but what I do is I inoculate let's say 10 agar dishes and use the 6 best looking ones for grain spawn. I keep the left over ones for future projects and store them in the fridge. Then when the time comes I chose the best from these plates and transfer to another set of 10 dishes. And so on. I haven't worked with slants for long term storage yet.

Yes, thanks for adding that - I have been told the 1:3 spawn:sub ratio and forgot to add it, but I've never heard the straw/manure sub recipe...

I think that was, me. That straw manure experiment had no grains, at all. And that's where I asume the lack of potency comes from. All the grows done with grains were very potent. Including grains to straw/manure. And imo manure does wonders for the fruits and also mycelium eats the straw. Last time I've done grains to straw/manure it was 1 to 5 ratio and got 5 flushes out of it.
