I was going to toss the box after this harvest, but I'm seeing quite a few more pins so I'm going to let them go for a 4th flush if they have it in them. I dug out a little spot of mold from the soil casing a couple days ago, so I don't think they have long before it pops back up again.

Spent three days working my way through this thread and I still have like 10 pages left lol. Thanks for everyone that has been putting in the work!
Obtained some swabs from an FB vendor. Germed in 3 days and T0s went rhizo more than any other culture I've run. Wish I'd read through this before starting because now I'm kind of regretting leaving behind some nice tomentose on one of the T0s.
From the 3 germ plates I selected 5 different looking sectors and sent those T1 plates to grain. One or two of the plates have the feathery aerial growth, the other 3 are pretty flat. Sorry I don't have a better pic of the T1s.
Jars will be done in a day or so.
T0s a few days after transfers taken:

T1s after a week or so:

T1s just before sending:

Those look so different from my Nats. I smell a trade coming.

Just checked on my jars, looking nearly ready.
I sent to grain before I was aware of the potential importance of culture appearance so I didn't track which plate went to which jar. It does seem likely the 2 plates with aerial rhizos went to the 2 jars currently showing extreme rhizo growth. The other 3 jars actually look pretty normal.
The 2 rhizo jars:

Example of the other 3:

I'm pretty stoked for those 3 jars. If they fruit well without a casing and the other 2 overlay like I'm expecting them to I feel it would be evidence that it is possible to select a non-overlaying culture on agar using morphology.

Nice. Curious about this too. Got a NSS print last week but I'm too busy to start it and see for myself. But from pics I've seen so far I'm pretty sure it's the same thing as Natalensis.

That nss looks like natalensis to me.
Has anybody had an nss grow that was super obviously cube?? At this point I think the cube version might be the rarest culture around

I read through the last 2 months of this thread and I don't think I ever posted a picture of the first SB that had a nice 2 flushes. I will go grab a picture of the overlay tub that I cased with Peat and scratched the top of.
Will be back to edit this soon. *

I got some action from old subs in the garden. Expect about the same as a standard cube.

Nice tubs D3. I bet you'll get some killer 2nd, 3rd flushes out of that.

Thanks Grim, prepping some foil in the oven now so I can have some ultra clean prints
Edit: took prints and harvest, I was surprised at how dark they bruise and quickly. Drying at a lower temp than usual (105f) in hopes of preserving some the actives
