First harvest, drying method okay?

So I've finally picked my first flush today, was planning to use my heating mat to dry them + a fan blowing on them, but the heating mat is a bit too small so some mushrooms are a bit stacked on eachother. Is this okay or should I move them to a plate or something so they have more room? My mushrooms are a bit ugly on the pictures, I had a lot of sidepins which was hard to get up since the cake was pretty much stuck to the box even tho I filled it with water. So I had to use a bit of force on my mushrooms, so they're a bit bruised I think :P.

Crack open your oven just enough to pull out ~5in of the top rack. Turn heat on minimum (150F ish) and place mushrooms on the exposed part of the rack.
Works just like a dehydrator

Dude, that's all of your hard work. Don't let it spoil, get a dehydrator and gallon jars. Or the oven method mentioned above sounds good.

I actually ordered a dehydrator but it hasn't arrived yet :/. Thought I would have had more time before they were ready to harvest but during the night many started breaking their veils. They've shrunken a bit already. My oven unfortunately starts at 100c(212f). Heating mat and my fan should be okay now right?

I'd get rid of the heating mat and put them on a screen with that fan blowing on them. I used to use cleaned window screens and a few box fans to dry out morels. Always had enough to fill half a dozen dehydrators and it always worked great for me.

I've been putting mine in a colander, then put that on top of my desktop computer above the top exhaust fan, then I play video games for a few hours and they're cracker dry

Ah, good. Yea, drying them out like this will be good to hold them for a bit while waiting for the dehydrator.
Honestly, a dehydrator is just heat plus a fan as well so what you are doing will probably get them dry
