Can woodlovers grow&fruit down south?
    #26412006 - 01/02/20 07:27 AM (4 years, 27 days ago)

Hi this may have been asked alot of times(I’ve searched around too...maybe i missed some threads?) but is it possible if the right conditions are met (wood chips, fresh sterile mulch & 50f-60f for the cold shock to initiate fruiting)would wood-lovers grow & fruit down south?(like near Mississippi,Texas,Louisiana) I know it might sound pointless but lately where i live its been in those temperature ranges during fall & winter (heck it can get as low as 35-40f in the day and lower at night!) i was just a tad bit curious..sorry for all the parenthesis in my OP.(if i sound stupid im open to flames or getting insulted, roasted (it builds character i think?...)thanks for the future responses!

I either read or watched something about them fruiting in New Mexico. Im not sure where exactly. I am pretty sure it was from something paul stamets said. Id say that was probably in northern nm in the mountains. I'm not sure about the area you are talking about but you could always experiment
