If you would eat Psilocybe cubensis, why not these? Is it simply because of the dog shit?

Poop in my drugs = ok. Poop in my food = not ok.
I guess the biggest catch would be the very thought that the dog might actually have farted on the mushrooms.

I'm getting paranoid that this polling question is a trick - that by voting 'yes' it means I would eat the dog poop.

lol no trick question. I'm seeking advice/input of other hunters.
Dog poop is not used by gardeners or near vegetables because of Toxocara canis. (Exposure can cause round worms in eyes of humans!)
Do you think mushrooms near by a dog shit spot could cause such problems?

Okay, the joke was obviously on me. Didn't mean to mess up your case, but couldn't help it.

Well that is interesting.

How near is too near? If the area in question works regularly as a dog toilet, then I would probably avoid picking edible mushrooms there. And that seems to be the case with dogs, they are habitual creatures and will thus take their dump in the same place over and over.
My sister's dog was very fond of shitting on top of this particular little baby spruce.

If you eat them raw or undercooked you can have issues, but with proper cooking the larva will die just like with any other mushrooms.
