LOTS of mycelium metabolites

First monotub grow, I read on a thread that this yellow brown liquid is mycelium metabolite fighting bacteria but there’s A LOT!!!  I’ve read to leave it alone but some say soak it up.  Advice?

There’s also a crack down the center of the colonized substrate.  Thoughts?

Thanks!

I dont see any pics but id guess its a moisture issue.

Theres a link at the top of the post with a photo that I uploaded, I don't know how to post the picture directly in the post.  I spoke with the company where I bought the bulk casing they said the metabolites are probably from lack of FAE (too much polyfil) and the crack is probably from too much heat.  I had the tub on a heating pad i think it evaporated the moisture in the casing too quickly and condensation built up on the surface of the substrate.  They told me to spray the surface with peroxide and add a layer of moist vermiculite.  So, Im hoping that fixes it and it starts pinning but it might be too late if i torched the substrate.

I wouldnt use a heating pad. I incubate at room temp which is between 70-72f

You had dirty spawn. It is extremely bacterial. Might get a few fruits, but I seriously doubt itll be anything worthwhile.
Anything above 60 is ideal. Lower than that and you wont see much growth. Higher than 75 you're drying out tubs and breeding bacteria. Scratch your set up. Become a lurker and learn. Try again. This hobby isnt quick and you'll develop a great amount of patience if you stick with it

Peroxide has its uses in microbiology in general. Maybe not for the way its used but do your research on the effects of peroxide on oral thrush (aka candida)

I agree to the extent that it is not good for sterilization of fruting chambers and substrates. I dont agree with the context it is used in a general aspect. It will 100% fight back candida as a medical treatment for thrush. Which is a fungus. Which is mycology.

I believe the issue is that it doesnt kill spores. Dunk a piece of mycelium in peroxide sometime

Not all of us are growing "magic mushrooms". Some just love fungi in general. For medicinal purposes. Like the cure for UC and chrones

In today's mush cult world peroxide is not recommended.

We have more enzymes to protect us from peroxide than mycelium. We're mammals after all. And even still peroxide is long been something not recommended to rinse cuts and scrapes with because it prolongs healing, damages healthy tissue, increases the chances of scarring and or worse scars. Peroxide not only has no use in mycology it really has no use in your home. Its bad for your mouth even diluted down too. Don't gargle that shit

Well when my steroids give me a thrush from high blood sugar, peroxide keeps it at bay. What would your suggestion, other than harah anti fungal, for fighting Candida when you have an auto immune disease and are also taking infusion?

When you have no immune system you cannot rely on your body any longer to fight infection

Fucking hell, I've been annoyed at Diego for what seemed like a long time now for his arguing stupid shit and giving bad advice.  I never would've thought this was only his 5th day on here.

Any way there can be a ban issued for being an unhelpful know-it-all?
