Happy new year guys!
I took a walk this morning in the forest by the river to see what's growing and to get some "fresh air". Here are the mushrooms that stuck out:
Are these Flammulina velutipes, Enoki? Can I eat them?

Pleurotus ostreatus?

I have no IDea what these are... hard to see on the picture, but even the stems had pores on them.

and finally these fellas, clitocybe maybe?

Thank you!

I believe the second one is the oyster look alike commonly called the lobed oysterling, I think I read it’s potentially toxic?

1. Enoki, safe to eat but I've never tried them. I'm not sure if wild specimens are as prized as cultivated ones due to the sticky cap.
2. Oysters
3. Polyporus tuberaster or a similar species.
4. Clitocybe is a good guess. What did they smell like? They look similar to Clitopilus prunulus but I'm not sure that species grows in deciduous woods.

I totally skipped the smelling part on this one

It's not that, Crepidotus has brown spore prints and this is white spored

Clitocybe rivulosa could be a candidate for the last one, which is poisonous.
Still not sure. I found a similar species today in similar habitat, but started grey and faded to white.

ZenZone, I can't believe you just took a walk for "fresh air"... you were armed with a good camera and a great eye... terrific shots! I too took a walk on a local trail today. I've been experimenting with flash to get those gills defined. Did you flash these?? Or was the sun just right? Happy New Year to you as well.

Why thank you sir! It's just a Sony A65 with a standard kit lens (18-55mm SAM). I'm not much of a photographer but I do make a big chunk of my living with that camera. Very inexpensive for what it can do for sports photography (10fps). I don't carry a tri-pod, and just started experimenting with flash here and there. Pic 2, 4, 5 was lit with flash.
The reason I put fresh air in " " is because this time of the year in the valley, that has a literal meaning: unlike the rest of the year, there is no dust or pollen in the air - for a short while

Were "yours" also growing out of wood like "mine"? Also, I did too see younger ones with, well not grey, but grey marbled caps. Like this one:

Sony A65 with a standard kit lens (18-55mm SAM). Interesting. I'm using some pretty obsolete gear... I will look into that. All the best!
