So noob question here. Although i know the two species do better with different substrates and slightly diff temp ranges my question is how doea the potency of PE compare to the Pan (cyan, cambo, jam etc) apecies? Also knowing PE can be picky anyway between the two which one would be more difficult to cultivate?

Pan. Cyans are stronger than cubes

Pans are definitely harder to grow and much more potent than any cubes including PE. Most people say you can trip hard on one gram of pans.

Pans are in a different league of both potency and difficulty level of cultivation.

No problem. Cubes will be the easiest mushroom you'll ever grow. I think they're even easier than oysters imo.

In my limited experience with the species I’ve sampled it breaks down like this from strongest to weakest
Ps zapotecorum Pan Cyan Pan Cambo APE PE* RW Ps mexicana Classic cubes
*Its worth noting that the weakest fruits I ever grew were PE. While my PE grows have generally been very strong, that one anomaly proves that individual genetics trump everything. It’s probably possible to get slightly weaker than average pans or slightly stronger than average pans. Ditto for all classic cubes. I grew some CRS once that were easily PE strength.
