Burning contaminant in a jar with a magnifying glass

After my last round of inoculating oats in jars from agar, the jar with the best mycelial growth showed a spot of growth that looks like aspergillus. Not wanting to ditch this particular jar, I decided to try burning the spot with a 5-inch magnifier and sunlight.
It seems to have worked! I heard popping noises inside the jar and the jar filled with white smoke. This seems very quick and easy, at least if the day is sunny. About 5 seconds at the focal point was enough to pop and char one oat kernel. The smell coming from the filter patch on the jar lid is unpleasant, and I hope the mycelium isn't too upset by it.
I looked for earlier mention in the forum, but didn't find anybody who'd tried this particular approach. Other folks considered lasers, but the magnifier just cooks everything at its focal point. Of course it's likely that if I have contamination near the side of the jar, there's probably more inside, but we'll see how this does.
In the image, you can see the two areas near the left and center where I burned oats through the glass. The little reddish dots on the glass are probably condensation from the burn. One of the larger mycelial growths is to the right of the image. Hopefully that won't be affected by my intervention.

Suggestions?

Yeah, that is a neat trick. Kinda superficial, though.

Spores have likely spread and will manifest elsewhere. Who knows though. Keep an eye on it and let us know if the jar pulls through

After a valiant struggle, the mold has appeared in too many places to count and jar "F" went to the compost heap.
I had hoped that, since the mycelium was growing so well from multiple points, it could out-compete the mold. But that's not the case. In fact, it seemed to grow more slowly after my intervention.
That doesn't mean this could never work or be useful in some way. My interpretation is that in this case I didn't notice the growth until it was too late. There's also the problem that mold probably starts out of sight in most places.
Oh, well. The other remaining jars are in good shape.

Your idea got me cracking up.
But the way we grow these shrooms is by making sure they are alone in the jar. They will lose the fight against anything, clean spawn is the way to success.
