Going into sleep and coming out of it sucks. I haven't been able to get it just right in about five years now. I often take 5mg diazepam to help me off cause my body don't wanna go.
Being in it though; man, that's some beautiful, fun-loving, awesome, cradled in the lap of god type shit right there.

I think I'm borderline narcoleptic. My gf hates it because she is a light sleeper and has some insomnia. I can fall asleep usually within a minute or 2 most nights. If I nut, im snoring within 20 seconds.

Some people are natural night owls and it's harder to train oneself to be a day worker and night sleeper. I'm one of them. It takes me forever it seems to fall asleep. If I turn over in the middle of the night boom! Wide awake, I have to really concentrate to go back to sleep. No caffeine after noon or at night, and I don't eat after 7-8pm, I usually try to go to bed between 9-10pm. I have to get up at 5:45 am these days.

Melatonin + weed + sleepy time tea works for me. I take half a Benadryl if needed, It'll knock you out but the quality of sleep is shit I find.

Theres a valerian root and passiflora tea that seems to be actually rather useful to me for this purpose. I normally scoff at such things having spent my twenties basically behaving like a drug hoover but it's effective.

I think the main reason im having trouble is working nights everyday for the last 3+ months and all of a sudden telling my body to get up at 4 am and go to sleep at 8 pm. A second reason is being gifted coffee on xmas and being too impulsive and cheap to save it for later. Been drinking it daily. Has lions mane mushroms in it which is only reason im drinking it really.

I often walk for an hour late in the evening, and meditate after. Never any issues sleeping unless Im quiting a weed binge.
I find that accepting insomnia works. Even if your not sleeping. Lying down in the dark is still resting. Fretting about not sleeping is the worst thing you can do
