7 grams Johns Hopkins style 3

I want to share my experience of taking mushrooms seriously.
The books I used to prepare for this journey are:- Sacred Knowledge by William Richards (best book I've read on this)
- The Psychedelic Explorer's Guide
- Inner Paths to Outer Space
Some of you are familiar with what I mean by Johns Hopkins style:
- trip sitter
- laying down / reclining
- eye shades
- soothing classical playlist for come-up and peak
- glorious playlist for come-down
- rose on the table to stare at
- 7 grams for 200lb individual like myself
Other important factors were:
- five month tolerance break
- extensive meditative preparation
- setting a spiritual intent (to experience grace and respond properly)
I took the dose, smoked a few cigarettes, and sat back in my chair. After some music malfunctions which I was able to sort out, I laid back in my chair and let the mushrooms do their thing.
The come-up was the gentlest, lowest anxiety come-up I have ever experienced. Barely registered negativity at all. It blended seamlessly into the peak, which is unusual for me--usually the come-up and peak have an unmistakable transition.
The peak featured a very interesting closed-eye visual of a fractal object, hard to describe but very curvy and somewhat weblike; it seemed to be healing me, or at least giving me something to look at while I was being healed. Definitely three dimensional.
The unmistakable experience of the peak was being healed by the Divine Feminine. It was the gentlest, most elegant peak I've ever experienced, the most pronounced feature of which was experiencing Compassion. The peak was punctuated by my hilarious friend telling me a few jokes, and smoking a few cigarettes.
After a few hours, I got up from my chair and started *really* standing up straight with my shoulders back. I was very encouraged by this, as the come-down is usually my favorite part, and this is usually accompanied by interesting posture changes--almost yoga like, I'd say. I'd look up at the ceiling with my feet together, arms low and spread at my sides, my tripsitter even commented that he noticed a big change in physical energy. And then the comedown officially began.
It was glorious. And a laugh riot. I had a lot of fun turning on all the lights in my apartment, turning them off, and turning them back on again, listening to the happy tracks from Bach's B Minor Mass. I spent a lot of time laying on the floor, staring up at the ceiling. I experienced the Omnipresence of God--the knowledge that God is in everything, and that includes me. I burned some incense, continued laughing, washed my face a few times, drank some water, and overall had a wonderful, joyous time. I believe this part of the trip was the Divine Masculine.
I enjoyed the come-down for a long time before smoking again--somehow smoking a cigarette seemed wrong, which is interesting.
The most interesting behavioral change this trip has produced is a desire to stop using curse words and foul language entirely--a tall order perhaps, because I am a former Marine. I also want to personify Love as best I can, although that's a much more profound goal, it basically boils down to increasing empathy and being a better listener, for now.
This was, without a doubt, the best psychedelic experience of my life. It was unbelievably gentle, elegant, and easy. I wouldn't change a thing. My tripsitter is still gently encouraging me to do this in nature the next time, and he may be right, but I attempted to emulate Johns Hopkins style as best I could in the comfort of my own home and the results absolutely blew me away.
Dear Lord, I did not know it could be like that.
11/10 highly recommend.

That's what I'm looking forward to - specifically Johns Hopkins style - and wanted to say thank you for sharing your experience (and titling it appropriately so that other seekers of samadhi can appreciate it too.)

Sounds lovely.
I tried the trip sitter before. Only to question after coming back from third eye, “who the fuck are you?” Excuse my curse. Really found as if was just there to be whatever the other see imprint to me. As hypnotism. I guess this stems from much personal experience in tryptamine like states naked alone in room with candle.
Thought to share as for read your detail and a thought of own be selfish not share what spark you lit.
psychotomimetic. I’ve lost my mind, can I borrow yours? Mine ran off with that shaker of salt. ... Got to ground out somewhere. Ya’ dig
