What is the best method of fruiting Blue Oysters that are in a colonized bag of rye?

It's been a few#!!! Feels good to be back.
Thought during the long winter hpurs...why not learn how to deal with sawdust instead of manure.
Two fully colonized bags of blue oyster. Does the colonized rye need to be mixed with a substrate or just cut a few holes in the grow bag and cover (have a Marthas Closet coming) with a dome of plastic?

Buy a 40 lb bag of hardwood pellets should be about $5-$6. If you can find soyhulls? Mix them 50/50 by weight. I use a 4 oz spoodle to measure out my spawn into the substrate bag. 1 scoop for a 5 lb bag. If you can not find soy hulls use this recipe...

I use Espoma chicken poo, it definitely helps but is not necessary. Be careful with the water in the recipe. All fuel pellets have different water content. So the water needed will be different. Depending on the fuel pellets you buy. The field capacity for fuel pellets is different. 1 drop at the most is all you want. I like the water to just pool around my fingers.

Ok. So the rye grain is fully colonized in the grow bag.... I have a 20lbs bag of hardwood pellets coming and a big bag of wheat bran.
Can rye grain be added topmost pellets and wheat bran then mixed into a shoebox tub?
Thanks for the reply!!!!#

You will not get good results trying to fruit in a shoebox. A grow bag is your best option. Take all the ingredients from the recipe above and then start with 1.5 liters of water and add water to get it to the right moisture content. Sterilize the bag in your PC. Then place some spawn in the bag around 4 to 8 oz. Mix the spawn and sub through the bag. Let the bag sit for about 10 to 14 days and it should be fully colonized. I then open the bag and press out all the air. I then flip the bag upside down and cut a slit in the bottom of the bag from corner to corner. Try not to lift the bag from the sub when cutting the bag. Place the bag in your humidified tent and do 3 to 6 complete air exchanges an hour. A circulation fan inside the tent will help cut down on the air exchanges needed. If you use a circulation fan you do not want it blowing on the bags you just want it to move air around in the room.
I use these to seal my bags they make the whole process much easier and they are reusable...

Wood pellets, bran, then put in grow bag with colonized grain.
Put them in marthas closet at fruiting

Wood pellets, bran, water then sterilize in PC. Once PC cools to the touch you can open PC. Once bag is to room temp place spawn in the bag. About 4 oz is good for a 5 lb bag. That is why I use the spoodle it is cheaper to buy the spoodle, than to keep putting to much spawn in the bags and wasting spawn.
Put in Martha to fruit with proper humidity and FAE.

If you have the space; i like to use either 5 gallon buckets or poly tubing filled with pasturized straw to fruit with.
