Is this mysterious growth a contam on my Oyster myc?

A strange white solid substance is growing in at least three of my BRF jars I inoculated with a Oyster liquid culture. This is my first time, and I figure it's either strange primordia or some contam that got in a few of them. Is this is contam, and if so what is this strange thing?

the mushrooms are trying to fruit.
If the jars are fully colonized then you waited too long, if theyre not, theres a contamination preventing it from finishing and its trying to fruit anyways. Birth or open them and wash off any uncolonized parts.
Pf tek isnβt really very good for oysters, it was designed for cubensis, were you going to try fruiting them in an sfgc?
There is a forum on shroomery specifically for gourmets you should check that out.

30 days... from an LC inoculation. I guess it has been a while. Only reason I haven't taken these two boys out and fruited them is because from what I've read, you wait until all the jars are fully colonized and wait a week for consolidation before putting all the cakes in the FC. Is that wrong?

This was my first grow, so I wanted a simple tek I could apply to cubes as well even if it wasn't ideal. Next time I'll use straw / grain bags.

Yes, but I also built a monotub. Would one be better for oysters and one be better for cubes?

Wait a minute, the PF tek guides say you should let it consolidate a week after full colonization. This quote below is from this guide.

Once they appear to be 100% colonized let them sit for another week to consolidate.

I think a shotgun would be better for oysters. More fresh air exchange.

Like I said its designed for cubes. Oysters grow faster than cubes.
Put it in the sgfc but youβre only gonna get little tiny oysters.
Your other option is to top fruit with a bag over the jar. Tbh will probably make the biggest oysters.
Next time if you wanna pf tek oyster switch out 1/2 the verm for sawdust. But there are much better ways.

You can do oysters open air in grocery bags and just spritz them with a water bottle. I have a write up about it. Sometimes oyster myc gets really thick like that and almost forms what looks like fruit bodies when itβs ready to fruit. Like thick mycelia mats. Even chunks and it smells sweet like almonds. Iβve had it have off color like a yellow as well but generally oysters bruise yellow when they have low humidity.
You should move this to the edibles forum.
Oysters will shoot out pins very fast as soon as they are exposed to fresh air. Iβd do em open air before I ever build a nightmare shotgun fruiting chamber.

Thank you. I am picking up the mulch and bags today. I was under the assumption I would be popping these boys in a SGFC so I've had them underwater for the past 24 hours. Am I still going to be able to spawn them to mulch if they're soaked?
