Growing string beans, should I use a fan? Advice appreciated

I seem to be growing string Beans in my shoe box, about a day or 2 ago they were at this level

, I was following sff shoe box tek and keeping the lid closed and latched I then unlatched the lid and made it a jar so slightly so the corner had a gap over the night last night most all the water beads evaporated (yes there is a casing) from the surface and the walls of the tub leaving me here

Still with string beans, should I put a fan in the room and have it indirectly flowing air and follow the tek again? I know they aren’t getting enough fae I would guess it’s because it’s in a spare room with the door closed to keep the pets out, and I’m using a space heater to keep it at temp 74 ish. Would a fan or air purifier help stir the air into the tub? Or should I just leave the lid flipped. Also is this flush lost? Or will any recover and grow to a decent size?

what strain is it some strains have different traits like for example the palenque im growing always are taller and thinner but i dont think thats your issue. im willing to bet they are like that not only from a lack of fae from the fuzzy feet but i think your fighting a contam of some sort cuz it looks likes your growing fruits before your sub is even 100% colonized. so maybe thats why just wait for a tc to chime in tho

For cubes, FAE isn't that much of a concern compared to a lack of moisture.
Keep them MOIST and i reckon you'll definitely have a few Lazarus shrooms (plus some new ones might suddenly pop up)

if the tub isnt dialed in, its definitely a concern, fuzzy feet and stringy fruits are from lack of fae so ive read from other tcs.

Yeah dialling in tubs is hard lol, but shrooms will still grow (albeit poorly) with a lack of FAE, a lack of moisture will abort the whole set. I find if you've ever done invitro grows (on purpose or by mistake) you start to appreciate how little FAE they actually need.

well to me it dont look like a lack of moisture maybe even too much. its hard to tell ive seen way worse so dont feel bad. but i think 100% coir is a terrible casing. a casing should be a non nutritious material and 100% coir is anything but. id wait for a tc but i think your lacking fae and fighting a contam thats just my opinion. however the pics are not that great better pics would surely help

I also have 2 un modified tubs starting out one specifically the same bod uses in his tek, it would be good to know still if i should add a fan to the room to stir air up slightly or do many people grow in a mostly still air room?
edit RH is very low as its cold here right now, probably like 20%rh

If your RH is that low and you don't mind making this grow higher maintenance you could always try the occasional spot of bottom watering to keep the RH in the box higher

This is clearly not variety/strain related. No strains should you just expect poor performance

Like everyone who lives a place where it's winter now... That's why we grow in tubs. 20% room RH isn't a big deal

i didnt mean traits of poor performance. i meant like i said as in some are taller and thinner and some ate shorter and fatter i only said that cuz he did not mention what he was growing and that would make a difference as to what the end result should be expected or at least a general reference for comparing is all.

Thank you for the input, Would you recommend a fan in a closed off room though? any thoughts on that, or just try and open the lid more than it was before and go from there

I would just have the tub set to get more air before trying a fan.
