Habitat: Southern florida found two growing at the base of a tree. I left the one behind you see in one of the pictures. It was pretty much all purple. It had a skinny stem, maybe about 1/2 inch Taking a spore print overnight. hopefully I can get some. I took two small tissues samples on Maltextract agar plate in case I can identify that its edible. I will go back tomorrow morning to pick up the second one I left to grow out more.

Probably Clitocybe Nuda (blewitt) or a Cortinarius. If it is a blewitt, Sport print will be pink. Corts are poisonous and spore print will be rusty brown.
Next time you show a gill photo, don't have your hand blocking the view of the stem. The way that the gills attach to a stem is sometimes an important identifier.
If you want to eat the blewitt, wait for a TI to confirm. Although one little one will not amount to much of a meal.

Gravity, thank you for your reply and correcting my photographing technique. great point. here are new photos of mushroom I picked today from same location. I cut the gill but did not see any bleed.

The new ones look like corts to me. Sorry I gave some bad information about the blewits, they do not bleed latex. The sure-fire way to sort is by making a spore print.

I'm making a new spore print with the new one I picked today because I can barely see the print on the aluminum foil. So I just placed the new cap on a sheet of paper to see the spore print in the evening or tomorrow.

that's cool, I'm glad I was able to help someone too! I only saw those two on my walk. I found some boletes and reishi looking ones too. I'm excited if I can identify them as lepista nuda because its edible. I'd love to grow it out. The tissue sample on agar seems to have taken

Hey guys I'm putting an update on the lepista nuda I found and cloned to agar. Here's the photo. its nice you can see purple on it...maybe purple spores. some bacterial growth.
I'm about to take a sector and isolate away from bacteria.

I attempted to collect the spore print but unfortunately someone in my home did not know what that was and proceeded to throw it in the garbage. I will collect the print once I grow out the tissue...I just finished making 7 transfers between 2 Petri dishes of that purple mushroom I found. Before consuming it I will have to see the print and I have a good microscope to see the spores. I will update in case anyone else found it interesting.
