My first harvest - questions and please help!

Hello,
First time cultivator here, and I'm super excited, but now having doubts about these mushrooms (pics below).
These are B+ cubensis Yesterday I checked on them in the FC and they looked fine, caps nice and flat. This AM, checked them and the caps had all started to turn upward on the one cake that was fruiting.
So, I picked them by gently turning the base until it came off the cake.
My questions are:
1) Is the caps turning upward a sign of mutation or a sign to harvest? I noticed the veil hadn't broke but it looks like it's just about to.
2) See the blue-ish color on the stems - is that normal or is that contam?
3) What should I do with the fuzzy mycelium that came off with the shroom at it's base - just cut it off and throw it away, or clean off the verm and eat it along with the rest?
4) I dunked the cake in water and am planning to do so for 20 hours - are you supposed to re-dunk like this after the first time harvest? I've read contraindicative advice on this.
5) Overall, do these look safe to eat? I have major depression and I was going to eat these tonight - they are 40g freshly picked (in the fridge in a paper bag now) and I was going to consume them all, as that seems like it would be a good size dose to have a good long trip and hopefully experience ego death - I'm looking to hopefully "re-start" my brain. That's not too much, is it? Also, for set and setting, I was going to go into my bedroom, put on an eye mask and my noise cancelling headphones, listen to some trance, and trip that way with full introspection. Does that sound like a good way to do it given the goal of the trip? Any advice on people that have been through this would be GREAT!! Thank you - sorry so many questions I'm still very new to this.

Those mushrooms look fine to consume. The upward turning of the edges of the cap is normal when the fruit is reaching maturity, when its going to begin releasing spores. Dont worry these fruits are fine by the looks of your pics.
Blue Bruising is completely normal, it is the oxidation of psilicin and or psilocybin .
As far as dunking the cake goes, I think 20 hours is to long. would try jus a couple hours and see how heavy it feels.
always clean verm off, Dont want to consume vermiculite.
Good luck .

The caps will turn up due to maturity with some strains.
The blue is bruising. Oxidizing magic. It's fine.
The fuzzy myc is also fine. It's a reaction to gases that sink to the surface.
Never been a fan of dunking with cubies or any actives for that matter.
40g fresh is about 4g dry. Potentially an epic dose. Just depends on your tolerance.
Nice work. Have fun!

Nice job on your first grow.
They all look great!
That dose seems okay to me, but it definitely depends on your tolerance as was stated above.
I would advise dunking the cakes for a much lower amount of time as well, a few hours should rehydrate them fairly well. I would not re-roll the cakes in vermiculite.
