Growing P. cubensis

So I had been inoculating jars, but only one was a success. I decided to still go for the bulk method, but just let the ground-up mycellenium/coir mix sit a little longer than usual. I used a (slightly too small) thermo-mat I had lying around to help the growth. I had it shielded from light and fresh air for about 1.5 months...
When I took a look today I thought everything looked good so I started with allowing the fresh air flow. Not sure if I should keep the thermo-mat. Any thoughts about the pictures below?

As you can see humidity is 99%, which I expect to drop, since I only just started air-flow. Air-temperature is 20 °C (67 °F), though the ground is a lot warmer because of the thermo-mat.

Ditch the thermo mat. 20C is perfectly fine temps.

No need to shield from light during colonization. Light is good

For 1.5 months that tub should have flushed twice by now and It appears it hasn't even colonized the top yet.

RH gages are pointless in a monotub. You want surface moisture not RH of the tub.

I think you may have been reading some pretty outdated information from what I can see.

Before you start...Do you have a Pressure Cooker and a Dehydrator? I highly recommend getting both!

I have been following this tutorial: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23688752#23688752
Oh well, I'll see where the ship strands. I'm going to inoculate some more jars again, this time I'll do it right (they were cooked too dry the last time). What is a tutorial you recommend?

Oh, why I though a thermo-mat might be needed is because I don't always have central heating on in my house and now during the winter it can get as cold as 15C here.

Thanks for this. Finally, a clear tutorial, lots of pictures. I'm bad at reading lots of text on my computer.. Especially if it's a forum with all kind of flashy smileys :mushroom2:
