Light Exposure, bacterial?
    #26403247 - 12/27/19 04:46 PM (4 years, 1 month ago)

Can over exposure cause myc to stall. I have had several successful innoculations. All Agar to Grain. This last set of 10, inoculated on 12-20 all stalled. I'm going back to the standard lids as the white plastic ones need to be tightened after a pc cycle. If I had to guess there was negative air pressure sucking in contams causing the stall. I tighten the lids as i unload. I open the cooker as it hits zero for a *boom*/*pop* to avoid jars sucking in the environment surrounding.
I just left my LEDs on the past couple weeks and was hoping for a no harm no foul.
Anyone willing to chip in their 2 pennies? What went wrong?
If you need pics for this one I can post but dont see it as being necessary for the moment. I had 29/31 successful jars prior to this next set of 10.
-Thanks all

Light doesnt cause stalling. Bacteria, Overly dry grain, Running out of oxygen all can cause stalling.

If your jars are all the way sealed and unmodified lack of air is likely to be the culprit. Untwist the lids a little to allow some gas exchange. If that doesnt work try shaking them up to see
How they recover.
