Myco bag (CVG & rye) prep in one(ish) step instead of typical boil/drain/shake RR procedure for rye?

Now that I've moved mostly to myco bags and directly inoculating bags of rye and CVG (or manure / straw) as needed to go essentially direct to bulk I want to see if there's any way to minimize my steps.
My goal is to prep a rye and coir bag in as much of a one-shot deal as I can much like I've seen gourmet growers add a pre-measured mix of water, sawdust, and grain to a bag and then PC for later inoculation.
Is anyone doing this today? Right now I'm doing the standard RR rye grain prep, and the standard CVG bucket type tek and then mixing proportions from there. At a minimum I'd like to see if I can eliminate the overnight rye soak and shake steps from the grain prep.
I would think the PC process should be equivalent to the boil process and possibly the overnight soak as it steams and pressures the water into the grain. Thoughts / references?

I don't soak rye, just do a slow simmer until it's ready. Less work, same results.

Interesting. IIRC I think the overnight hot soak was an effort to have any surface bacteria / mold a chance to sporulate and then get killed off by the boil. I'm assuming no issue to date with grains going south earlier than expected?

Also how long do you typically need to simmer for?

Cool! Like bottle tek principles. You’ll prob always have to prepare grain and substrate separately with good water content and then combine for sterilization. Not sure how else you can cut down on time. You’re already combining colonization of grain and substrate simultaneously. If you come up with ratios for doing CVG+Dry rye all in a bucket tek then sterilize and have it come out right, let us know lol
Here’s a cool thread that shows the BE capability of techniques like what you’re talking about. Spawn is introduced to sterile sub in this case but it’s a similar idea. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23797148/fpart/1/vc/1

Good link - thanks. Agreed that it may need to be two steps (rye and coir) and then mix. Thinking further though for the coir one of the big reasons that needs to be separate is because it's typically in brick form. You can get coir in loose / bagged form.
Maybe something like this:
- measure out appropriate amounts of rye and loose coir (dry) and add to bag
- mix in appropriate amount of gypsum (if preferred) to total water amount to be used
- add appropriate amount of water to each individual bag
- let sit for a min or two while coir hydrates and then fold down bags and PC
This follows examples of other growers I've been seeing who do this at scale but they're typically doing sawdust or pellets for bulk instead of coir. I would have to think it could work for coir as well though...
Examples: Myers Mushrooms (Auto Spawn Dry Bagger), Mossy Creek (mushroom bagging machine)
