Micro pore tape likes to get a little moist sometimes n peel. I made a fram of the duct tape around each hole n did my mp tape then secured it with duct tape. Covered up the holes with duct tape to let it colonize. I didn't have a big enough trash bag on hand to wrap around my monos so I taped the 2 main sides to the lid. I need to invest in another rack to put my tubs on and run some lighting through it.

Fruiting conditions at spawning works great, no need for big ass garbage bags.

"Fruiting conditions" - FAE? Isnt it a better idea to let the sub colonize to 100% before introducing it to fruiting conditions

It was once thought to be, but it's been shown to not matter. FAE and 12/12 light cycle at spawning.

Looking good bud. I'll be following along for any updates. Thanks for sharing.
Edit You dont have to put into fruiting right away if you aren't comfortable doing so but I'd definitely take the tape off the lid you dont want it airtight.

I'll keep each post updated. I appreciate the communities over look and continued advice immensely! Wasnt it beneficial to have a higher CO2 content? The tek that I'm referencing off of memory would throw a garbage bag around the mono to "reduce risk of contams during colonization" In reference to the light cycle... I had some clean agar plates transferred to more grain jars. All 10 stalled. I'm sure I just had something wack happen like air got into the jars taking it out of the pc. I was curious if over exposure to light could also cause the myc to stall??

CO2 is not a concern for cubes during colonization.
Once you've spawn in open air you're already exposed the sub to billions of spores....garbage bag isn't going to provide protection
Stalling grains is usually caused by contams unless it was atmospheric issues like room being too cold.

I've been using those white plastic lids lately. They tend to expand/warp during the pc cycle. This causes the lids to loosen up. I tighten them as I unload. How likely is it that would be the issue? Do people use the rubber gasket you can purchase for these? Is it easier/more secure to just use the stock lids for canning?

I use plastic lids with SFD. They warp sometimes but it still use them.
The lids that come with the jars are fine to use too. Most people flip the lids with the rubber seal up. I have a bunch with polyfil.

Do you have that rubber gasket inside your lids? Does the sfd lid act as one or keep it tight enough? Will the micropore tape still adhere to the standar lids throughout the pc cycle?

No
No...SFD is strictly a GE filter
I don't use micropore tape

Each question was separate I was wondering if the adhesive stuck the same on both lids. It doesnt seem likely it wouldnt just a different surface texture

How bout I rephrase that Does the sfd layer inside the lid keep the lid tight during the pc cycle (the purpose of a rubber gasket)? I think I'm just gonna switch back to the regular lids to stop the warps
