If so what do you recommend for FAE?
it’s got a very loose fitting lid so i would think that would have to be taking into consideration...

I wouldnt personally use it because it's too big but you could use it and just do standard fae hole placement, pastys method, or unmodded.
Subs that big are a waste of spawn in my opinion. Plus they can get hot in the center and cause issues. I stick with the 58-66qt tubs. Loose fitting lid isnt a huge issue. If youre worried about it you can just put something heavyish on the lid to keep it closed

It definitely can. How much spawn were you planning on using?

The search engine might have some more information.
105 qt tub

8qts
I understand it's not ideal and I could get more out of 2 60qtz but I'm just looking for to get a bit more than I normally would with a 60 if I can get 5 dry ozs I'd be satisfied

I like the 66qt. Never used one that big though. If you have good cultures a 66qt tub can produce quite a bit.

I pull 5oz dry out of 58 qt tubs regularly
A larger tub is in no way a guarantee that you'll see a larger yield and 5 dry from 8qts isn't a good yield anyway.
Most important things are clean spawn and ideal conditions. Work on those 2 things and you can easily pull 5+ dry from a 66qt tub.
That much spawn to 1 tub is definitely a waste. 8qts is also likely to heat up Quite a bit but not a guarantee of contamination. I would just worry about putting all them eggs in 1 basket if you aren't completely confident in your spawn.
Even with sub par spawn you can still pull a decent yield though if your conditions are on point. I've seen bacterial grain push fat flushes lots of times

Ya I know that isn't a great yield at all that's why I figured it was a practical number... I've been getting about 50gs dry from 2qts in a 11x11 tub...
I think I'm just gonna return it, I'm just forseeing some problems with it being a pain in the ass to work with...

You will likely see more fruit running two 66 quart monos with 4 quarts spawn each than you will in a giant mono with 8 quarts spawn. I understand the allure of big ass substrates, hell I ran a bathtub once. But it’s a huge risk and has many other drawbacks.

Got it!
It was appealing because it could fit in my closet sideways as I have a very skinny and long closet. And I don't want to stack 2 tubs because I put the light right on top of the tub and the bottom tub would get minimal light then...
I'll figure something out tho...

I run my tubs in stacks of 4 or 5 with 20-40 stacked in a single room and the only light I have is a window with the blinds drawn so people cant see in well and the ceiling fixture with a cfl. Light is good but it's not like you need super powerful direct light on every tub
