Can trich form in fruiting chamber when mushrooms have already grown?

I have 3 cakes that were growing quite nicely .. (yay!) but then i got a bit over eager with the misting causing white fluff to grow but it was of no concern (found the answer to that from searching this forum) - thank you to all who answer questions. But now there is a bit of green color near white fluff. Could it be the dreaded trich? I thought trich was only a problem when there is just mycelium and wasn't a concern once fruiting started. Is this just wishful thinking? BTW, i was using the BRF tek and had the cakes sitting on a square of foil on top of vermiculite.

Having fruits doesn't mean you can't get trich or that you didn't already have it.l which is the most likely case. It could be bruising.

Trich can show up at any point in time. It’s just more difficult for it to get a foothold once mushroom mycelium has colonized

This too.
Ill add that mold mycelium is also white, along with some bacteria as well. Just because its white, doesn't mean that its cubensis myc.

Bet its bruising that shit can have an almost greenish tint some times and sure as hell freaked me out the first time I had some lol. But I've also had half a tub with pins and mini fruits that went all trich city. Pics would help us out if you can!

Yes and no lol. Healthy mycelium is very good at fending off contams but after a couple flushes it is a lot weaker and can easily become trich food
