If I had say.. 6 monotubs. Each having their own intake of a. Fogger or humidifier and all the rest. What about lighting? Specifically.. I KNOW that Imma supposed to put a light on them from the get go. Question being is.. do I need to put on an entire 2 to 4 fluorescent light fixture in each tub, or can each one maybe just get a single multi-spectrum bulb hanging over them? What do info about lighting? Thanks guys

I've never grown a mushroom before but from what I've read the amount of light doesn't matter. It's just them a direction to point

Woah back up now, intakes foggers or humidifiers??

You dont need any of those things, monotubs are designed for passive FAE.
Just flip the lid or make some holes about 1/2-1β above substrate height, lots of different monotub teks but none of them use foggers.
As for your main question you can just light the room, as long as you can read fine print in the darkest part of the room youβll be fine. 1-2 4β T5 lights would be plenty for 6 totes. Make sure the bulbs you use are 6500k (bright white)

Mushrooms need light like we need light.
Sure they don't photosynthesize, but they need that sweet sunshine to live their best life

The bulb in your lamp or ceiling is probably sufficient. Where does all this automation bologna come from anyway? Not that I've read all the teks on here but I've never seen one with it or anyone really encourage it for that matter. Quite the opposite I'm fact....

A decent normal monotub set up right creates its own humidity. Adding humidity to an already humid environment is just asking for trouble. Your mushrooms arenβt going to a rave, they donβt need a fogger lol

Just set in a room with a window, if you can see in the day time then they should be ok. And if you are worried then get a 5$ cfl at your local hardware store and run it 12 on 12 off. Look for one in the 5500 spectrum or daylight spectrum it will say on the box. KISS, keep it simple stupid, no need to make it more difficult than it has to be.

You're making this way more complicated than it needs to be. Unless you're setting up a big grow in a green house, all you need is a monotub, and some ambient light from the window.
If you cant use light from the window, then you want 6500 daylight bulbs on a 12/12 cycle. You should be able to ditch the rest of that stuff.
