Not sure if any of this is salvageable mycellium. i have been away from agar for about 2 years now, i know there is a bunch of contamination and the pics are shitty but theyre the best i can do with my equipment :-)

thanks in advance!

Hmmm... you're not wrong. There is some funk going on in those plates.
If you're transferring from those plates I'd use these to spots..

You also may have better luck starting over with new plates. or both.

after one transfer. i think i may need to do 1 or two more transfers and itll be ready for a2g. (the bacteria looking shit on the right is on top of the lid not in the agar)
what exactly am i looking for in agar grow? any suggestion would be awesome! thank you!

there is still sporulating mold on that plate.
I would try for 1 of the 2 left most colonies and I would try and get a sample from the left most edge away from everything
work inside a SAB not a flow hood for this

yeah, i see the mold growing. i was planning on doing a few more transfers. there is significantly less than on the other two plates for sure. what should i look for as far as the mycellium itself on the plate?

yeah man good job on that, I had my reply before I really read the OP my apologies
at this stage, I would just be focused on getting a clean plate without other growth
once you have that established, I look for fastest growing edges to transfer from people say rhyzo growth is another characteristic to chase after if thats your thing.
but till then, I wouldn't limit myself on where to transfer from, I would just do it farthest away from any satellite colonies
AGAR ENVY! (Anything and All things agar!) - this isnt a tek on what it should or shouldnt look like, but there are tons of examples and talk on ideal transfer spots ect pretty much as the title states, all things agar

Decided to restart with grains, they were def dry. The newer wetter grains are doing awesome. Well enough for a g2g to be successful
