Yeah, those look off. I'm not a fan of pf tek personally, but when its dialed in it works well.

That verm is really coarse, and it doesn't look like you mixed in the brf very well...maybe its just too wet. Too wet is an invitation for bacteria. Bacterial growth is an invitation for mold.

Its hard to tell from your pics and because of where the spot is. Dry or damaged mycelium can turn dark blue. It could be that, but it also looks kind of greenish too... which would mean start over.

I know you probably know some of that. As long as you are learning something, you'll get it right if you are persistent.

I think you called it right. It is learn something and start over for sure. Yes yes and yes.




Just make sure to always mix verm and water evenly before introducing the flour. Also be generous on dry verm layer on top and you should be golden.

Btw do more experienced people have a favorite brand of Verm?
