It's going to pass no matter what you think and a lot of people will be free to consume and use cannabis lawfully.

Gonvernment taxed weed can get fucked. They just want to take their piece of the cannabis market and make their own money from it.

I mean, sure. Alcohol and tobacco are legal hard drugs, taxed government products that are fucking up the health of humans.
Cannabis may be a healthier alternative to alcohol and cannabis, and you can't really call cannabis a hard drug like you can call alcohol or tobacco hard drugs.
Does not mean cannabis is good for humans though, smoking cannabis is still a great harm to the human lungs.
Just because the smoke of burned cannabis calyxes and trichomes in my lungs is less harmful than the burned smoke of a government "Marlboro Red" cigarette or whatever your cancer stick brand of choice is...
Still, the constant breathing in burned calyxes and trichomes is not good. Still lung damage at the end of the day.
Yes, I would rather human lungs consume marijuana plant smoke than cigarette smoke if they must smoke something. And speaking of bad lung damage, too many people in NZ smoke cannabis mixed with tobacco, it's disgusting. Half the people I know that smoke weed smoke cannabis mixed with unfiltered cigarette or pouch tobacco through a bong only. No chop cones through my bong cunts.

Im looking forward to it. That tax will help people in the health care system and take the gangs down a level. Less people will be exposed to hard drugs at dispensaries and my friends old man can use CBD without fear of being discriminated against the less people that become cooked mentally and more educated the better. Go NZ!

Yeah the taxes can be a good thing when reasonable. And over time as prices go down even with taxes it usually ends up cheaper than the original blacker market, while driving down black market prices.
At least here some states have been better than others though, some have high taxes and use most for police/law enforcement. But others have reasonable taxes and put the taxes into education and other good things.
NZ seems like the kind of place that will make great use of the taxes.

This is an extremely selfish view imo. You are right about the government cashing in on it, but that is going to help alot more people then gangs do, there will still be a market for the high strength products your friend produces, so you would still be able to support them. You have to remember that not everyone enjoys high potency and not everyone can handle the effects. The rules are set for safety reasons and quality control. It's the same with alchohol. Wouldn't you prefer youngsters that manage to gain access to have a safe enjoyable time? Or you'd rather they get tied up with scummy criminals?
I also know dozens of people that have to deal with chronic pain and the only relief for these people is Cannabis. You should consider those people when you decide not to vote. What if you ended up in a bad way and needed help? Some of these people dont have friends like yours, but your friends could help alot more people in a legal market.
