Things would look a lot different if the people who receive and control that tax money were held accountable with where it went. So much of it gets siphoned off the top it’s ridiculous and nobody ever gets in trouble for it. They don’t even hide that they’re doing it, they just say “nobody knows where it went”.

The more people on 'free' healthcare, the more expensive the procedures get for everyone else.
I haven't even bothered to look this up and not sure if all the healthcare changes in recent years have made things different.... so this may be worth ignoring.
No, it actually becomes less expensive because there's cost controls and no profit motivation. Insurance racks in 20% of the costs just for being a middleman, get rid of those scammers and costs automatically come down.

Stop blinding believing everything republican conservatives tell you about Medicaid and Medicare. Stop blaming poor people on Medicare for all your problems. Medicare is a good thing because other the poor people on it would NEVER be able to afford insurance at all whatsoever. If they are poor then that’s means they are not going to have a good enough job that offers health care. Not every job offers health insurance and not every job offers good insurance in the USA!

How come these outbursts are always super lacking in substance but all sound the same? There are left-wing idiots who can't think for themselves and right-wing idiots who can't think for themselves. It's really bizarre to watch from the outside. Idiots screaming at idiots.

Years ago I worked in medical collections. I know for a fact that hospitals had to and likely still have to write off a good chunk of Medicare and Medicaid bills because the actual cost of services is greater than the maximum M and M will pay.
The rumor part is that this setting of prices is part of why everyone else's healthcare is so expensive.

Maybe because the majority lack an education? Or critical thinking? Or reading comprehension? Or patience, empathy, and consideration? Definitely self-reflection.

Would you watch from the outside when debating whether or not alcohol should be legal?
What about if firefighters should be free?
A lot of us started from standing on the fence. I remember it well. Dont think youre some mystical force. Most fence sitters I've met think their shit doesnt stink and they are unique lol.
All it means is youre indecisive, a fool, or a dick.
(try not to get triggered, I am not having a go at you)
I just reckon that healthcare is a human right. I cannot understand how anyone can think otherwise. It is absolute madness that some people with lumps on their breasts dont get them checked to keep food on the table.
I reckon anti-healthcare people AND people with no dogs in the fight.... simply have never lived and worked in other countries. Youd laugh at america after a year in New Zealand. Guarantee it.
The RAREST thing abroad is a homesick american. The only thing we miss is the food and our family. The rest of the country can burn.

Oh and just some information for you as a world traveler. If youre interested at all. I dont mean to sound arrogant. I am mainly just amazed at the info I have learned and am sharing the info. If you can manage to read my text in that way that would be cool. Understand if not.
I remember very clearly landing in Sydney on my first departure out of the US. I remember having this .... this.... accepting of reality that what reality was..... was intense heated political arguments about very important topics that could change everything in the country.
Then I landed in sydney and sat in the waiting area for a few hours watching the news. Two aussie blokes were fucking going AT IT. I still hadnt quite nailed the accent and I was just marveling at the "same old same old" style of news. And then it dawned on me what the two men were arguing about.
SHARK BUOYS. They were literally losing their fucking mind about Western Australia borrowing Shark buoys from over east to trial them to see if they save lives before investing to buy their own.
It was just such a tiny.... irrelevant.... "blah" thing to be arguing about. It reminded me of the thought of two mice fighting for a crumb.
Additionally..... do you know what the healthcare debate is in all the countries I've been?
It goes like this 99 percent of the time:
"AND THEN!!!!! The fucking LOW LIFE SCUM goes into the FUCKING HOSPO just because she has the FLU! Thats MY tax dollars at work!!!!!"
Imagine that. Imagine being upset about someone over using a healthcare INSTEAD of under using it.
For me as an outsider.... it makes me smile and laugh every time. And it happens a lot.
The way I see it is..... the rest of the world pretty much has "it" figured out. They are just battling for crumbs.
But hey..... there is no objective truth. The sky could be below us and I might be a dream. I can only speak what I think the truth is.
Sorry for the ramble! Drinking with some maoris having a blessed day! Yeeeeehaw. Texan in NZ!!!!

That is a reasonable reply, yes healthcare is overpriced. That's where we need to start. Lowering healthcare costs before we can give it away for "free"
Who said it would be free? Medicare isn't free, so why would Medicare for all be free?
No shit? You should probably explain that to #24
What are the estimates for Bernie Sanders M4A brainfart? 34 billion a year? I'm sure Americans just have that laying around somewhere....

Yeah they do have it laying around. In the form of premiums and copays deductibles and out of pocket and shit.
Whats your health insurance per person work out to multiplied by 370 million? Where are they gonna pull that out of their ass from?

Sure they do, that's why 20+ million Americans don't even have health insurance is because they can afford premiums, co-pays, out of pocket expenses, deductibles and shit
Most Americans don't have $2000 in their bank account, but yeah, let's tax everyone $10,000+ a year to maybe fund M4A. And then Medicare doesn't cover ears, eyes, teeth or prescriptions. I'm sure there's 34 trillion laying around somewhere to pay for this.....

I thought I edited this post, I mean to say 34 trillion over 10 years
Not 34 billion a year

Everybody is already paying for health care, we don't need to tax anyone at all. As far as the uninsured, we are already paying for them as well, it doesn't matter.
We are not going to spend $34 trillion, that's beyond stupid. It would cost that much if we didn't eliminate insurance profits. Insurance companies take money for doing absolutely nothing, that's coming to an end. Big profits are coming to an end, we're going to pay for health care, not shareholders.

Conservative Republicans want to give tax breaks to the rich and take away health care from the poor. The rich already have money they don’t need anymore tax breaks. The rich are already rich. They don’t need more money. The poor don’t have money. The poor can’t afford health care and their jobs don’t provide them with health care. That’s why I support free health care for all. The rich can afford to pay for health care for all. They just don’t want too. Why? Because they are greedy. Not because it costs too much, but because they are greedy.

To think that every American plus every undocumented immigrant is going to have healthcare without taxes being raised substantially.... is beyond stupid

They won’t be raised, just evened out. Do you think billionaires should keep paying a smaller share than working class families?

The US already spends DOUBLE of what the 2nd highest health care system in the world does, we don't need to raise taxes at all. The money currently being spent will be used, in fact it should be substantially cheaper than the cost today.

Yes, the health care industry shouldn't include making hundreds of billions off of working class citizens. That's what the rest of the civilized world decided many decades ago.
If someone has the money and wants private care, nobody is going to stop them.

Why do middle class conservative republicans want to help billionaires? Those billionaires would never try to help you back they only care about their billions thats why so many people in the usa are poor right now because the rich hoard all their wealth and dont want to let the poor have health care.
