The problem with your thought process.... is if I'm pro-healthcare for example.... you interpret that as me never having read the book 1984 + im a socialist communist asshole + only focus on utopian dreams that cant happen.
But..... if firefighters were privatized right now. And I suggested making them free..... could you use that same argument against me?
What you dont seem to grasp about 1984 is that the person involved is an exception. Almost all people on earth BELIEVE that 2 + 2 = 3. You couldnt convince them otherwise. So the reason I think you are stuck in 1984-type reality is that you cant separate that the addition of universal healthcare as something that could be just like cops or firefighters being added in.
Do you understand what I'm saying? You should view adding healthcare in a VERY similar way to considering if we didnt have firefighters and we added in firefighters. You can still disagree with healthcare if you want. But someone believing in it doesnt automatically mean they cant do math and have broken brains.
I reckon IF firefighters were pay in services that you dont get if you dont pay directly.... you would lose your mind at the thought of free firefighters. "SOCIALIST! If you want to be COVERED you need FIREDEPARTMENT INSURANCE like the REST of us!!!"

One feels with the heart.
The other thinks with the brain.
The heart is best felt on cocaine and hookers.
Better to think with the brain.

Yeah, there's a big difference between leftist and liberal I'm with you though, I don't hate anyone

I want free healthcare. Does that make me "leftist" or "liberal" to you? Am I on the extreme left?

It makes you neither leftist or liberal
If you're not mentally/physically disabled or elderly, then wanting something for free makes you lazy or a mooch that doesn't want to assume any responsibility to take care of your own self.
Do you think it's someone else's responsibility to take care of you?

Why do you think it's the military, police department, fire department, public schools, social security and Medicare to take care of you? Stop mooching off the US government and take care of yourself.

Don’t Congress get paychecks and healthcare’s for life? I guess commie socialist policies are OK as long as you’re not an average American
If you take politics seriously, you’re a fucking moron of the lowest order. America is a banana republic and we’re all a bunch of pussies for allowing it.
Fuck Washington and all of you who participate and support the bullshit that flows from it.

Except none of those services are free when you have a job and pay taxes, so no, it's not mooching when I work to take care of myself and pay my own way instead of expecting someone else to
You should try it out, you know, having a job and paying taxes

Healthcare costs are out of control. Free or not shit’s overpriced, and there’s times when people should get treatment even if they can’t pay. All that government shit is corrupt. They make the rules up as they go so they keep winning. I had a big brother growing up I know the hustle.

That is a reasonable reply, yes healthcare is overpriced. That's where we need to start. Lowering healthcare costs before we can give it away for "free"

Great idea! That’s progress, hanging flags from our dicks. Seems like a natural progression from a bunch of idiots
Anymore ideas?

I heard an unsubstantiated rumor that part of the reason healthcare is so pricey is because Medicare and Medicaid will only pay so much for a procedure forcing the entity that performs the procedure to write off the remainder of the balance they would normally charge. So the industry makes up for it with higher prices.
The more people on 'free' healthcare, the more expensive the procedures get for everyone else.
I haven't even bothered to look this up and not sure if all the healthcare changes in recent years have made things different.... so this may be worth ignoring.

Exactly, taxes equals some sort of social service. Why are the existing services paid with taxes acceptable, but health care isn't? There's no consistency to your argument at all.

Who said it would be free? Medicare isn't free, so why would Medicare for all be free?
