What impacts the appearance of fruits the most?

So I’ve been messing around with PE and gotten mushrooms that look like totally different varieties.
This was a BRF Cake I had made from a syringe before I read that PE doesn’t like cakes so I shredded it to coir.

And this is syringe to wbs to coir.

I wouldn’t know they were the same thing if I hadn’t used the same syringe on both.
Is it different nutrients? Conditions? Just random genetics? As far as genetics go I would’ve thought I’d see a mix of both kinds in the shoebox but it’s pretty uniform.

I'd say genetics. Conditions can affect it for sure but with MS and a mutant strain my money is on genetics. Get some plates going and clone a cluster those are cool looking.

This was from an PE syringe. It was the only cake I got to fruit from that syringe and my clone attempt failed so that was my onky experience with PE. But I think maybe some versions/spores going around and not as stable as other.

For sure gonna get a cluster clone.
I have three going from that fat one In the first picture, a whole shoebox of those would be sweet.
I didn’t even think about it being a mutant strain. It’s so weird though the first picture has that one fat one that looks different and then all the rest are the same, then the shoebox is all a third different looking type.
I already know I’m gonna go through a ton of plates with these things.

That’s crazy it’s like you got a pair of each. Blobs, normalish ones, and albinos maybe??
Pretty cool

I'd say whether or not they exist would be the primary criteria.

Genetics first and foremost, environmental conditions come second.

I would have to completely agree with you. I had some golden teachers that fruited indoors... started to trich out so I put it outside in the cold. Whatever ended up finishing off was much smaller, thicker/wider stems and much lighter in color... resembled nothing of golden teachers. But they were super dense after putting outside. After drying they almost look like acorns lol.

I agree with this.
This is one ovoid ms cake buried in mulch.

You can see regular, mutant (big one with cap curled down) and nipple heads all in the same environment.

Genetics/ conditions/health. Genetic traits and expressions will show the same in the same co editions ( with isolates for example) But mushrooms with not enough far will grow lanky or not enough light you get small caps ECT. Health wise if your substrate has a contamination like trich for example they almost panick to finish and fruits look retarded

Genetics. You are flirting with many multiples of unique strains with MS.
