Slow down monotub fruiting with low temperatures?
    #26392329 - 12/20/19 11:40 AM (4 years, 1 month ago)

My monotubs about to fruit but I have to leave town for 5 days.  I was thinking of puttin in garage where temps would be in 50s or so to slow down the next flush.  So harvest whatever is there before I go then put tubs in colder environment to slow or stop fruiting then return and reinitiate fruiting conditions.  Will this work or is there a better method for what I would like to achieve?  I leave in 9 days and tubs are not fully consolidated.  Would it be better to put them in cold outside temps (won't fall below freezing) now before the first flush or put them in right before I leave?

Got any pics? It can take a week or more to mature once your pins get in. I would give her a bottom water if needed and let it ride. But pics and a exact timeline would be helpful for me to form an opinion.

No pics right now but the top layer has just made all the connections between pieces of WBS on one and the other has a bit more to go before the entire top layer has connected to itself.  No sign of primordia yet.  Two weeks from now before I will be home again.  I'm pretty sure they'll fruit before or after I'm gone but not positive.

Why the bottom water suggestion?  Do you typically do that to tubs that haven't fruited yet?

No suggestions from anyone?  I think I may put them in black plastic trash bags and stick them in the garage where temps are in the 50s.  Guess I'll crossmy fingers.  I just hope they continue where they left off after bringing the temp back up.
