Can I migrate my hard drive from old PC to a new one??

Basically I'm building a new rig, can I just take my ssd and hdd from old PC and stick em into new?
Will the new mobo recognise it straight away or I need to tweak bios ??

Yeah you can just stick em in, make sure they are compatable with the new mobo/case etc.
Might need to change the master boot drive in the bios to whatever r one has your OS installed on

It should work as long as you stay with the same cpu make, i.e. intel to intel or amd to amd.

I can see that over the last 10 years
Mobos and memory are cheaper CPUs are the same Graphics cards are more expensive
What gives ...

If u have any IDE HDDs, youre gonna have to get a coverter cable. But Im guessing they are all modern using SATA cables. If they all use SATA, then just slide them into a bay on your new PC and screw them down with hardware, then connect power and the SATA cable to the Hard drive/SSD and connect the Sata cable to the Motherboard. Its just that easy

Personally speaking I no longer use external hard drives attached to my laptop for my data. I've got an RPi 4 4GB model that I have an external HDD attached to, and I will use sshfs to mount it locally on my laptop, or use scp to transfer the files over. This lets me have a cheap NAS in my house, and if I ever need to travel or go somewhere I can power down my RPi and take the external HDD that's attached to it with me.
You could do something like this and avoid having to constantly transfer files between laptops via usb or whatever. The downside to this is that you will need to backup the data somehow.

buy a USB 3.0 enclosure for your old drive and use it as a portable drive. Back up all your important stuff and keep it off site of in a fireproof safe jic
A copy on site is only a strategy for hardware failure, disaster recovery requires off site storage.

That's always been the annoying part about moving hard drives to new computers is the bios issues.

what kills me is a lot of the newer games no longer support sli / crossfire multi gpu set ups. At the time I built my rig that was all the rage. Now i'm stuck running COD off one card on the lowest settings
Good luck with your build. Be sure to post pics, I'm sure lots of us get off on new rig builds.

My 3Dmark score doubled with this set up
Was 22000 now 44000
And that’s not true representation l my windows installation is messy and slows down the pc

Yea it's pretty disappointing to be honest. I think it stems from the fact that GPU's nowadays are so unbelievably fucking powerful that you don't need SLI/crossfire. GPU's have been getting so unbelievably powerful the last couple of years.
One thing Nvidia has which I think is really cool is called NVLink.
