Careful.
A new wave of FDA is upon us, one that is approving MDMA and others for medical use.
There may have been times when FDA members have had their pockets lined, these days it seems like they are more in tune with helping those with good causes, ie Rick Doblin.

Not really though, the FDA hasn't changed on bit, the public has.
With MDMA they are throwing the dog a bone and its taken many decades and mounting(if not historically extreme) pressure from doctors and professionals just to get clinical trials approved for MDMA...and it already has a history of therapeutic use. And this is largely only politically feasible since its "for the soldiers"...you will never see trials for its use outside of PTSD*, even if it gets FDA approval.
And let's say some product does actually reach market, it will be kept under lock and key and out of reach to anyone without a solid gold insurance plan...the cost alone will keep it out of the hands of normal people, let alone the fact that nearly all doctors will never even bother with it.
Just look at what it took to get a ketamine product for depression to market...they had to isolate the "less hallucinogenic" isomer, its REMS creates a real and substantial barrier to acquisition if you can get it at all because you will basically need to show that every other treatment option has failed first(which could take years) and unless well documented even if you find a doctor which will provide Spravato he is probably going to want to go back through at least some of those failed treatments first, and despite no therapy being part of its treatment protocol it must be dosed in office under medical supervision...oh and it only cost's ~$5,000-$7,000 and again most practitioners won't bother with the hassle.
And that speaks nothing of the plethora of other extremely useful compounds which are ignored and kept out of the hands of researchers and doctors because they are viewed as drugs of abuse or change ones perception in reality one bit.

True. BUT, I think over the next say 20 years or more it will become a lot more accepted and prescribed, but I'll be in my mid to late 70's or even 80's by then and more than likely not using it, but you never know!
