Twice. Twice they rolled up to the wrong address and

Even for Detroit...wtf. Isn't there extensive protocol when it comes to making sure 100% beyond a shadow of a doubt that you're at the right house?
Especially if you just destroyed the wrong house months before?

It's because in Detroit, each house looks like it need destroying. The man worked for free destoying 2 houses. He should bill the city for the demolition of three houses because of his service to the community.

So like, what happens after that happens? Does he have to pay the homeowner for the house? Does he go to jail? What if he doesn't have the money to pay, is the homeowner just fucked?
I feel like this could also maybe related to shady shit, like maybe someone doesn't pay their loan or gambling debt, and then maybe their house gets mysteriously town down "by mistake." I mean, it is detroit we're talking about.
It's probably just an idiot fucking shit up though.
I wouldn't mind living in detroit for a bit, I kinda like their whole dystopian reputation.

From the article:
Quote:
"In a case such as this, DBA policy calls for a minimum 90-day suspension from bidding, Adamo was suspended for 90 days in May 2018 for a similar offense," Detroit Building Authority Special Projects Director Brian Farkas said in a statement to the Free Press. "It is standard DBA policy that if a contractor has no other violations for one year after a suspension, that offense will not be considered again if a new violation occurs. "
Adamo was awarded a $25,201 contract to demolish a fire-damaged house at 14461 Alma on June 18. On Nov. 22, Adamo instead tore down the structure at 14661 Alma. Both are Detroit Land Bank Authority-owned structures.
The property was located one block over from the home it was actually contracted to demolish.

The owner of a company that demolished the wrong Detroit house — for the second time — has resigned from the city board that helps provide oversight of demolition contractors.
The entire sentence is like something out of a Douglas Adams book.

Or a Monty Python bit: "The owner of a company that demolished the wrong Detroit house — for the second time — has been sacked from the city board that sacked the demolition contractors."
