Spore syringes will last a few months very easily as long as they stay in the frige in my experience never kept any for longer then 6 months.
Best method for yield would be spores to agar to grain to monotub in my opinion and some people say the PFtek is good for noobs but yield is not the greatest generally. Still plenty for a few people.
Jars of grain are ready to spawn or birth as soon as they are 100% colonized, PFtek calls for a week of consolidating after they reach 100%.

Brf Cakes are easy, and a good way to get your feet wet. I don’t like the idea that they’re “noob proof” because you should be striving to perfect your technique, not be careless because something is “noob proof”. MS to Brf cakes will not get you the biggest yield nor is it the cleanest way (ms syringes always have some contams, that’s why it’s better to work with agar as you can clean it up). Ms is also a genetic crapshoot. But you can also try brf to bulk for slightly larger yields. Nonetheless it is a good way to gauge if you’ll like the hobby.
If possible, however, do as above. Agar to grain is superior.

I just used a syringe that was two years old sitting in one of my drawers, never went in the fridge. Every single agar plate successfully colonized and only one grew trich. Then I used a syringe that I just bought and literally all of them look like I coughed on them and havent seen any myc growth. Long story short is you should be fine as long as they arent sitting in 100 degree heat

Just doing some reading up on bulk .. can verm be used ? Or would have to be this coir stuff?

Vermiculite is used for moisture control and aeration, but it can't be used alone for bulk (well, it probably can, but not a good idea). You can use coir to start with as it's easy to pasteurize, conducive to myc growth, and difficult to contaminate. It's fine on it's own. You don't need to mix it with anything else. Look into coir bucket teks. Here's a good example.

As far as I know, Coir if going BRF to Bulk.
This is the easiest way to prep your coir
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24077162#24077162
and you mix that with grated BRF cakes.
Otherwise just birth your cakes to either a SGFC or a Humidity chamber after consolidation.

Brf is supposed to be safer for syringes but I personally prefer bird seed. Much quicker.
Coir is like a few bucks for a brick which will make 3-4 shoeboxes, every pet store I’ve been to has it.

ooo i do like the idea of birdseed from what i've looked at... is there a preferred inoculation method for bird seed?
would it be treated the same as BRF method after it's colonized too ?
Thanks again for all the help .

Agar is always gonna be best, but I’ve done like 20 grows syringe straight to wbs and never lost a jar. A bunch weren’t perfect but they all produced a lot of mushrooms.
Do a search for grain TEKs. I used quart jars with a hole in the lid, then cut circles of tyvek from the post office the same size as the lids. Then I put a big blob of silicone on the tyvek right over the hole in the lid. Once you have the lid done and have prepped and cooked the jar of seeds you stick the needle through the silicone into the jar and squirt the sides.
Once it’s around a third colonized shake it up and it should be 100% in the next week.

WBS sounding more and more appealing ... do u have to put any other ingredients with the WBS (some TEKs look like they put additional ingredients in)..
and just wondering, could u take a little bit of mycelium from an already complete batch/jar out and use that bit to start inoculating another batch/jar?

I'm still new too, but I can give some advice
the easiest way for a beginner is to do the Uncle Ben's Tek (aka Spider Man Tek) and spawn that to coco coir in shoeboxes. PF Tek isn't that hard but you do have to do more work and a pressure cooker is recommended
spore syringes ought to be good for a long while in the fridge

No just wbs. Some people add verm to soak up extra water but that’s it.
You could do a myc transfer it’s 100% possible but it would need to be in a SAB and the mycelium from a totally healthy sterile jar.
That’s basically what’s called grain to grain transfer where you colonize a jar and then pour some of it in to new jars and shake them up.
You’d be better off using a syringe and waiting the couple days for now though.

That looks ridiculous to me. Not even doing it in a sab. I wouldn't follow that tek at all personally.

70% (not 91%) isopropyl alcohol is what people use to SANITIZE, not sterilize. People STERILIZE using a pressure cooker/autoclave (most use a PC). For example people sterilize their grain jars in pressure cookers and will use the alcohol to wipe stuff down when trying keep their workspace/tools as clean as possible.
