Morel Cult Thoughts?

Long time watcher of this topic. Recently found this page which seems to demystify a lot of the expected morchella process. I have been curious if everyone is overthinking the process as a whole for a while? What are your thoughts on this research?

The Chinese grow morels. I do not think they publish much.

May be interesting to note the texture of the agar in the control side of the Petri. Why is it not smooth? Certainly not lazy mixing. Potentially something used to dry out the plate? Result of heat? Result of freezing the plate? An additive that’s difficult to mix? Result of mechanical motion?

I do not see full fruits but microscopic pins.
Having the proper temps for sclerotia is asier said than done. Having temps for fruiting are even more difficult.
If I could grow tens of thousands of morel sclerotia, I'd be successful at getting outdoor patches to fruit.
I've also wondered how 3% - 5% biochar in a substrate would help. To my knowledge nobody has tried that.
The Chinese are very successful at outdoor morel cultuvation. They have issues with lower yields after several seasons. But that is how fungi are. They do not always produce at the same locations.

I agree a lot of these images are microscopic. However, the image with the led light ring does not look microscopic. Additionally , the Chinese are using a nutrient bag in a low nutrient environment. This individual "claims“ they are doing this in a standard farm setup of spawn / incubation / fruit in a high nutrient substrate. The interesting point is that most people are focussed on the two part systems of low nutrient environments only. The claim is they have successfully grown already based off of a given environmental fruiting trigger which is used on the agar pinning. This would alleviate a lot people believing morels must be paired with specific root systems to fruit or can only be grown with the two part system.

I would be very interested if anyone else here has ever experienced any form of pinning in the agar stage?

They do not require roots to host. That is a very low yield tech as well, to use roots as a host.
