Yes it does... cost my marriage, my license, the neighbor's dog, and his fence! Kidding, but yeah

Yeah... here a bottle of ethanol 95%(190proof) costs a dollar. And a scale about 10 to 15 dollars....

Believe me its not cheap and easy to do certain things in the third world!

They have regular mouth quart jars in store right now for 7 bucks a dozen. They aren't ball but anchor brand.
Speaking of this who else prefers regular mouth?
I thing they are wayyyyyyy better than wide mouth especially for masters. I like to make regular mouth masters and g2g to wide mouth. Also regular mouth lids are way more sturdy and dont warp anywhere near as easy.

I had a stupid amount of the 70mm rings and lids from my journey from PF Tek to grains and agar so I never made the switch to wide mouth. I see no reason to have 70mm and 90mm laying around or having to search for the right size lid (1\2pt, pt, qt all the same). 70s don't cause me much of a headache imo so I'll just roll with it.

And ya the anchor harbour (or whatever) brand are what I always go for. But cheaper and smooth sided and I even just like the look of the brass rings and lids.

I have a bunch of both, and use them interchangeably, but it does kinda suck to pour from wide into reg, so I try tocmake the reg mouths masters, but if all your masters are regular mouth you can do g2gs fine most of the time.

I do love pouring into a wide mouth jar, grain or LC. When I buy, I try to buy wide if they got them.

I have used LC for blues and shiitake... More so to prove to myself I was capable... I dont feel its advantageous enough to reconcile the added risk imho

If you just Google presto gasket ring, or else local hardware stores may have them, call ahead. Pretty sure all prestos are standard.

The big problem is getting good PCs and their spare/replacement parts in Europe as the proper ones are basically unavailable - you have get them shipped from the US.

So there is a choice of either insane markups or long delivery/shipping times.
