Is that an SAB, and if so what is it made of?

It's my combo SAB/Storage-ish area for plates and such. the port holes seem high up but they're right at elbow height, perfect. A 4x8 sheet of MDF, matte white paint, 6 inch port holes and a stretchy window film that you heat up with a hair dryer to make it taut:

That’s a cool setup do you replace the clear heat wrap everytime? If not how often do you sanitize the inside??
Also were supposed to edit our updates into our first post correct?
Hope so cuz that’s what I did.
I bet that tribe Pesa/toc giveaway shows up a lot, was perfect timing.

Dude that is sick! I had a similar idea a while back that never made it past concept stage. I love every part of this. No flex in the sides and bottom that you get with a tote. The PVC caps. All of it. Nicely done!

I did both per my understanding. If everyone only edits, the thread dies. If we only comment, then we lose the ability to track each ones grow

lol I’m gonna be spending way too much time on this thread. It’s gonna get wild in here once everybody gets going and throwing in updates.
I’ll just sum up my op edit.
Swiped two plates each of melmak, Pesa, and TOC. My first time so it was weird not seeing anything on the plate, just hoping I did it right.
Also I accidentally used plates that were low nute but higher agar than normal, I know soft is better for spores so we’ll see what happens.
Lessons learned right off the bat.
Not a fan of using a loop so far.

Agree. This will consume my attention for the next few months likely. I made that mistake (kinda) once. Had super hard agar. It did seem to take a little longer to germ, but germed nonetheless. Cooling the loop in agar helps pick up spores for sure. I've been using a homemade loop since day one so I'm sure you got some on there either way. Glad to see people starting to check in Good luck!

First time pouring plates in ages, let the agar get a little too cool before pouring so it was viscous and i couldn't get the plates as thin as I wanted so I ran out at 15/20 from the sleeve but that'll do for now! Just waiting a few hours for them to cool and set and get the condensation off before swabbing.

Streaking complete! Two plates - one PE, the other Pan Cyan Hawaiian, both on MEA with freshly-acquired spores from a Shroomery sponsor.

Tealseals grow log 2020 Species: Cubensis Var: LGTVar: CREEPERVar:RUSTY WHITE Var:BURMA Var:THAI LIPA YA Var:MENACE JAN 1 2020 decided to do 9 plates specifically for this thread, since i planned on starting back up it only seemed right, i decided to do 6 plates of CREEPER and 3 LGT plates, straight MEA agar, nothing fancy LGT print i got from a member a while back and a CREEPER syringe ive been holding on to for a while. streaked the CREEPER syringe, and swabbed the print, cant wait to jump back in these plates came out a little harder than expected, first time growing in about a year, so i fucked up and added a bit too much agar. we will call these harder agar plates the RED plates JAN 6th 2020 so i made up 12 more plates a bit softer than last time, 10g MEA powder to 500ml of water. these will be referred to as the ORANGE plates. i swabbed each plate using sterile prepackages swabs. and added a few other cubensis varietys that i received in trades recently ORANGE plates got the following varietys RUSTY WHITE BURMA MENACE TAI LIPA YA JAN 8th 2020 noticed growth on 3 of my LGT RED plates will wait a few days till i can distinguish growth a bit better if anyone has any questions feel free to ask, constructive criticism welcome not sure wat im looking at atm JAN 10th 2020 1 out of 3 of the RED LGT plates is looking the best atm. im going to take 2 transfers from the little puff balls in the right of the picture, they look promising. MARCH 7 2020 so i decided to start this project back up. What seemed slow and boring at first turned me off to continue to update plus real life shit was picking up and i had less time to document. Also i didnt know how i was going to pick back up when i intended to take pictures and document this whole grow, and i contemplated how the hell i was going to finish this up without striking all the above text. but it dawned on me... i still had a few of the original variety's going, only problem was i had no shots of the final plate i transferred from... while the LGT RED plates took a major shit on me i still had the following variety's still going strong. ORANGE plates RUSTY WHITE BURMA THAI LIPA YA MENACE the only bitch is they are all on grain.. u will have to just take my word for it that the plates i took wedges from appeared clean (sorry no photos) so from no on i will not be referring to plate colors, it was just a way to show that i started different variety's at different times in JANUARY and seemed like an easy way to color code the grow so to speak. i will show pictures of my grain jars in the next update to this log. MARCH 8th 2020 As promised here are the jars as of today from the remaining variety's i have going 4 jars of RUSTY WHITE Up close shot And proof of the day the wedges hit grain these 4 jars will be hitting a mini mono when they are colonized! Next up is BURMA. only have 1 jar that looks good so i will be spawning it to a SB And the day it hit grain side note, i was trying out different grains at the time i purchased a bag of oats and after 2 runs of jars i decided FUCK OATS!!!! so i went back to WBS for a batch and shit stinks up my damn house my woman hates it! SO I HAVE BEEN USING WEAT AND WILL NEVER TURN BACK!!MENACE AND THAI LIPA YA small jars for GTG later on Day it hit grain

Before and after every time i use it, there's enough arm room to maneuver inside with cleaning crap.

I was thinking of a design inspired by an old drafting table. Like yours, but with a hinged top to make loading easier.
