I was avoiding this thread cause I don't see nothin' yet either . Good to know others in same boat . I think *maybe* I can see a small germination spot but it could be slime bacteria at this point it is very hard to see....

Yeah I have none yet. I did make softer wbs soak agar. They cooling in PC now. I feel like I usually don't see shit for 7 days or so. I don't think I'll use these new plates until like t2 or T3. Get them ready for the wbs as food. So germ rates can vary weeks. Hopefully we all in next day or 2.

Could be me, I don't see jack shit. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't see anything until next weekend. I put this same print to agar a couple weeks ago and I just now seeing significant growth

I’ve got shit service right now, will edit with a picture when I go to town tomorrow. I’ve got one PE6 plate, where it looks like a gaggle of single strands standing straight up like static hair haha. Another plate has what looks like some germination, maybe in the morning it’ll be a little more prevalent.

Hard to keep up with you guys. Pans aren't doing shit except the South African but didn't have high expectations. It was my 2nd attempt from an old syringe. Wish I could've transferred GT, Natal and RW today but no time.
Pretty neat to see pastys in action it's been a while. Good work people. This is fun to watch.

If it helps, I'm falling way behind at the moment. Left on a week-long vacation yesterday so won't get a chance to follow up until next weekend. Hopefully things are still nice and clean and ready for a transfer at that point. Will definitely be maniacally pouring new plates and prepping jars of wheat berries as soon as I get back.
And just realizing now that I'm really short on jars, because half of mine are sitting idle making stones and most of the others got used for some experiments right before I left town. May need to buy more, which feels extra annoying because I left a dozen quart jars and a dozen pints on the sidewalk before my last move because I was scaling back... So much for that idea?
(Also, if anyone has tips where to find wild specimens in western Costa Rica, I'd totally be down for spending an afternoon looking for some new genetics to share.)

I'm going to be going on a Pan endeavor myself pretty soon. I've never used bags or pasteurized anything before so I was thinking of knocking up some poo/ straw muda bottles with LC and then breaking em up into trays.
Asura has the write ups though. If you're looking for some good reference material.
Durgin Psilopsychin has found some wild in Costa Rica. He might have some tips

Well my 5 AA+ plates are nothing but bacteria so I guess I got a bad vendor syringe... looks like I finally have germination on a ape and a mazatapec plate atleast. I’m pretty pissed about the AA+ syringe though, I just got it 2 weeks ago. Guess I should go back to getting prints. I don’t like syringes at all.

I looked this morning and nothing. Maybe on the new one I swabbed. It's 3 batches ago agar. Lil softer. I am getting nervous. I want to swab the new soft agar I made. Maybe I'll do one plate per variety. Impatient and shit ya know. I just need my babies to show up. My agar mix on the swabbed plates (pink & purple) are really stiff agar. I didn't know to make it soft for spores until this 2020.

Durgin, another lead for Costa Rica wilds may be Nichrome, who posted this: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26375784#26375784
then responded to query a couple posts later "From spores I collected in Costa Rica 15 years ago. Started up last winter on MEA no problem. Still working on running through different xfer plates. this was Pura Vida #3."
yah, a lot can change in 15yrs, but... Pura Vida!
