Howdey pardners!

A small comparison to the different versions of the genetics im messing with (B+ strain) started with spores from somewhere and had some great progress and growth in brf jars (left jar) took the spores to LC and tested a jar of each syringe I made. SUPER clean and SUPER Fast growing. (Middle jar) bought a ton of jars and just used up my LC syringes. (Right jar) now I gotta sterilize some more syringes and refill off my mother LC and build some fruiting chambers!!

My liquid culture baby!

Syringed up and looking thiiiiccc

That’s what the rest of that LC is going into! Gonna make some grain jars and go nuts with tubs and grain to grain for now though. All my test subjects are brf cakes so a SGFC or two will suffice. When I have the room cleared up it will be tub time! ✌🏼✌🏼 🍄

Considering he only has 4 posts and already has LC figured out is pretty impressive.
I like shoe boxes better, if one goes to shit you can isolate it and don't loose the whole tub.

Thanks friendo! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 It’s my 3rd official grow and my first time actually following the steps and not cutting corners! I feel like the mushroom gods are on my side with this one

🙌🏻🙌🏻 Happy Tuesday fam! Here’s some updates on a few things

BRF jar knocked up 48 hours ago With b+ liquid culture

BRF jar knocked up 7 days ago with B+ liquid culture. That’s the last little bit of uncolonized substrate. Probably going to give it the week or so of consolidation before birthing

BRF bag knocked up with B+ spores 19 days ago. ALMOST ready to be turned into a mini tub or something. Mycelium looks healthy other then some bruising from over handling.

Happy Wednesday fellow shroomers here’s a little update on my latest B+ BRF jars

Day 3 after LC inoculation. Nice steady growth and no contamination in sight! Very pleased with this round of B+ LC. tonight or tomorrow I will pressure cook some syringes and get ready to start another round of jars.
1 of the 2 test jars i started is now fully colonized as far as what’s visible from the out side of the jar. So 8 to 10 days is the rough colonization times for my current LC if I can maintain temps. ( it’s like 50 degrees in my house)

Good for you for tackling LC, bud.
Looks like you made up your own bags too? Excellent stuff. Keep up the good work!

Thanks friend! I had some stuff around to make bags and some extra spores. 2of the 3 bags show growth and one dried out 🤔👨🔬 must have been a hole in the bag or didn’t get a good close on it. Probably gonna crumble those bags up into a tub or maybe even fruit from the bag if I’m feeling lazy.
Have a great rest of your week and thanks for stopping in ✌🏼 Mush appreciated 🖤🍄

50 degrees F! I’m on the boarder of Canada and the United States. And my house has THE WORST insulation. I actually just built an incubation box and fruiting area. One powered by a little warmer and the fruiting chamber will have an LED grow light to supplement heat and provide light 🤙🏼

My bedroom temps are in the 50s but I’ve had them in a ghetto warming setup. Either way I agree....growth is faster then what I’d except...temps are around 68 in the little plastic incubation tote...I rotate the jars as well because the ones closer to the heating element are warming feeling to the touch.

Just got the work bug today so I prepared some syringes to PC for some LC extraction tomorrow. 3 more syringes of awesome B+ hopefully!!! Also prepped WAY to much corn. Don’t have enough jars so I might try some vacuum seal bags and hope they are pressure cook safe...or maybe freeze the extra corn till I can buy 12 more jars ? Hahaha whoops 😬

I cook sous vide with vacuum seal bags which reaches about 190°F but not sure how they might react under high temps in a pressure cooker 🤔

They hold up. I have been sitting on rolls for some time (almost never use them), but when I have I used foil to protect bags from sides of pc and each other, and instead of my trivet and lids, I use a 4" deep "colander" that came with my big crab-boil pan/burner set thingy which fits upside down in the pbottom of my Presto perfectly. Not efficient, but it works for me...
