Millet sterilisation

Why are there lots of millet grain exploded after sterilising jars. It always get contaminated after few days. I rinse then soak the grains 24h , drain 1h and sterilize. Did someone had this kind of problem? I thought about soaking them 12h instead of 24h. What you think ?

Maybe you should try simmering in a pot of water for about 30 minutes and pouring them into a strainer over the sink. Then rinse them really good under cold water for a few minutes and let them drain for about a half an hour.

  When you simmer you want them close to boiling but not quite. Once they are done draining they are at the perfect hydration level and ready to be loaded into jars. Let them sit for 24 hours once the jars are ready before your pressure cook them. This allows any bacteria endospores that would survive the pc'ing to germinate. Once they germinate they are no longer immune to the high temps and burn to death along with all the rest of the would be contams. Also make sure you are using Tyvek or something over the air exchange holes to prevent any unwanted guests that will ruin the party.---
