Anyone experiencing troubles with their ears?
    #26381595 - 12/14/19 04:01 PM (4 years, 1 month ago)

When I consumed about ~1.5g for the first time it felt like my inner eardrum adjust itself in a weird way and it wasn't a pleasant experience. It was like the ear channel physically changed. Is there some way to work around this problem?

Doubtful that anything physical changed.  Likely a somatic concern that is persistant.  Your perspective changed.

Yeah, you're probably just tripping. Your perspective has changed rather than your body. You can change that again. Mushrooms do not change you physically.

I have read about psilocybin making people aware of ailments that they didn't notice before due to the slow onset, then seeking treatment and finding out they were saved a lot of misery by realising the symptoms and getting early treatment.

If your ear really bothers you just go to the doctor and say "my ear bothers me" and let him have a look. He'll tell you if there's anything wrong

Could be as simple as wax.

My sister had sand in her ear from vacation.

My first trip was lsd and I thought sone time later it changed my eyes, for a moment.  Usually it is our awareness that changed.  No longer ignoring physical limitations.

That's something that shouldn't really have been transmitted onto online reading format. It's always been something spoke of in person, and not really documented online like that. There's some talk of it in the McKenna works, mostly Dennis's writings.

DMT could do it. It has to do with the truth. You are responsible as well, and don't have relative freedom. Substances shift your brain's mind frequencies all around, so that there are more alpha and theta, as well as gamma, waves during times there really shouldn't. When you smoke weed it changes your brain to the dream brain, sometimes lucid dream brain, where there's no REM. The dream world is more symbolic and coincidental. That explains most of it.

I notice my ears tend to hurt if I get very high on weed or psychedelics. I doubt it's anything other than my brain being confused because the discomfort always resolves itself soon after the drugs are out of my system.

I had an experience that kinda sorta relates, I think.

A few years ago, while on LSD and mushrooms, I was laying down in my tent at a festival before the night started.

At one point something occurred in my left ear...I experienced a high pitch tone that was very "pure and clean" sounding, like the tone/frequency that would come from something like a quartz singing bowl.

As this pure tone resonated in my left ear I felt and heard a distinct "pop", as soon as this happened it felt like I was "opened up" and that pure tone was now coming into/through out my entire body/being in perfect symmetry and not just in my left ear (difficult to convey in words). It was such a clean/pure crystal clear tone/frequency though, almost "divine" feeling in ways.

It was one of the more peculiar things I've experienced with psychedelics....I'm not sure what to make of it  .

It was kinda as if my ear was physically plugged up with wax and became cleared, but it also felt as if some "energetic or meta-physical channels" were plugged up and became opened up. Because as soon as I heard and felt that "pop", I felt my entire "being" open up and that pure tone was running through me.

....it was an actual experience that involved that specific tone/frequency and other sensations, it wasn't like my ear just randomly popped (but perhaps that is all that happened and my mind while high on psychedelics just perceived it in a drastically different way  ).

It was strange though...the rest of that night my hearing and head-space felt super crisp and clear.

Mushrooms seem to almost completely eliminate my tinnitus for a month or two after a solid dose.
