ID help?
    #26380341 - 12/13/19 11:25 PM (4 years, 1 month ago)

Oregon, Willamette Valley.
I've seen and always wondered what they are.
They come up in the pastures where we have horses.
I notice them more in the rainy winter/spring and I don't see them in the summer.

Could they be Panaeolus cinctulus?:jolly:

Sure - if you ask me - but I'm a noobling so wait for more experienced members.
Spore print should be jet black. You could probably see some blueing on the bases of the stems.

Those look like some fatty pans to me Zen.... I would be interested enough to look at and entire fruit body... Something tells me it’s a P papilionaceus. Picture two has some cap margin thing going on it looks like.
I’m not a TI but I’ve seen a lot of pans in Cali and that looks the right genus to me
