The most "Enlightened" part of "my Enlightenment" * 2
    #26378502 - 12/13/19 05:05 AM (4 years, 1 month ago)

The social media are buzzing with how "enlightened" people feel they are, ever notice?

The one thing most enlightened about me, is the lifting of the burden of life that I carry in everyday life.  By years of confrontations with the ghosts of the past in meditation, I have overcome the past and now havent as much "gotten over" my issues but I've gotten on top of them, as king of my hill.

I am morbidly obese, I was deeply ashamed about my body and how others felt about it so much that I just wanted to crawl under a rock and die.

"Nay!" said my Spirit Guide "You will buy swim trunks and will go swimming twice a week and make seaworld-sized splashdives like only a sumo sized man can, and people will LOVE and RESPECT you for it and not feel as bad about their own bodies, their wrinkle, their mole, their missing leg even, through your Courage. Be A Hero."

I gathered courage, bought swim trunks and went, and I smashed my body dysmorphic and social anxiety to 1000 pieces, I get respect and appreciation from all sides, it is really super awesome and validating. It vindicates the years that I was crushed by an abusive environment.

Whats ENLIGHTENED about me is that my burden of life is greatly lessened, and I will tell you exactly how to do it:  CONFRONT YOUR WORST FEARS as long as it can be done safely and without violating yourself or others. It doesn't even have to appear sane, the courageous have right of way.

You face an overwhelming army of Orcs: those of your fears, your doubts, your pains of past, the ugly things people said and hurt you with, the abuse you underwent that never stopped diminishing your numbers compared to those of the Orc army of your Inner Demons!

DEFEAT YOUR INNER DEMONS!

CONFRONT THEM!

TO ARMS!

I read an article the other day about why swimming can be tricky for weight loss.  Swimming makes your body produce the hunger hormone ghrelin, which makes you very ravenous, which can lead to consuming more calories than you burnt.  Something to be mindful of. Good luck Asante.

Facing one's fears is a very good thing. I was once afraid of public speaking but I forced myself to preach the gospel and now I like being a spectacle. And I am much more confident.

If you've ever read the book of Matthew aloud in public, it can be a liberating experience also

This is true swimming gives a voracious appetite, but it mainly is a hunger for protein to build your body and the complex carbs to keep the motor running, as well as plenty of water because you sweat and pee heaps.

I find protein/carb loading with a mixture of low fat quark with oatmeal and some water advantageous, especially if combined with 100mg Coenzyme Q10 which makes your mitochondria much more efficient at providing your body with energy on the cellular level.

Exercise is practically weightloss neutral, 90% of weightloss is not stuffing your face with junkfood and instead eating pounds of raw vegetables of all colors, with the other food groups kind-of as garnish.

I exercise for the increased fitness level and physical & mental wellbeing, to get my heart, muscles and lymph fluids pumping, the weightloss is about not eating shit, basically.

Know what's inspiring?

I got a highfive from this kid who literally only had 1 leg and a prosthetic, at the pool.

It was clear that I gave him courage and he fortified my sense of...

That was :makesmecry: in an awesome way

Bible, Qu'ran, Bhagavad Gita, science books, they all have pearls of great wisdom that deserve to be read out loud with conviction.
